Did some hiking with a friend yesterday.... nice weather and all.
Had to talk some things out - so wasn't really pushing it. Mentally / emotionally I'm just not doing well.
Neck still hurts... not sure if the exercises are helping or making it worse. Time will tell.

Congrats on your year, Geralt - YOU'RE amazing But yeah, us girls are pretty darn terrific too... IMHO

Nice walking, Coffee. Sounds like you're liking it.

I have my stuff to walk/run today, but not sure - maybe if the weather holds out.

Had a fantastic run last night. It was such a relief because I was in a bit of a slump from school and not exercising enough, and was kind of afraid to run. But it was really good, I was fast and had a really good pace the whole time, and did an extra lap even, so that's 6k! Mind you I had to stop a couple times, to pick up dog poop and to give him water at the doggy fountain and to yell at him a couple times to behave. (The dog p's me off sometimes, I just want to RUN but have to faff about with him a lot.)

So I'm going to start shooting for 10k.

Anyway it felt so good to get out and I felt sooo good today.

I'm back! Woo hoo! *high-fives self*

Geralt! Congrats! Yay for you! So happy for you.

IP, good job on your 6k! 10 will easily be within your grasp. You can do it!

Went to a spinning class. The teacher just did a full Ironman last month. She is in her 50s and is in killer shape. I was so tired after the class and lunch I took a nap! For like 45 minutes!

What's up with that! I was so pooped!

Keep kicking it everyone!

I haven't been out for a week because of illness it is killing me. The not exercizing part. Hopefully not the illness part. Man getting some miles in makes all the difference.

So I'm running my first 5k race on the 28th!!!!! I'm doing it with my dad and my boyfriend-it's the day before my one year so I think the perfect way to celebrate. I'm so excited! (It's a Halloween race, people run it in costumes! Should be fun.....)

Nice Inparticular, we expect a full report after the race

Back to business today, as today was the first day of work since my holiday, 7 bags of mail, 3 times up the hill, rain in the morning but it got sunny in the afternoon. Feeling good, was a bit afraid if I could handle it with the lower temperatures.

Hey everyone! Sorry it's taken me a few days to check in! I ran the baltimore half on saturday and had a LOVELY time. I took 15 minutes off my race time from 9/23 and ran the entire race with no stopping. I was happy as I could be with this race. I am planning on doing the full marathon in Baltimore next year! This weekend I have my final race of the year, another half marathon in Hershey PA! Then I can rest for the rest of the year, and plan for start marathon training in the spring!! =)

Did a 5.2 mile run. I missed my swim class, so decided to run. My knees were sort if achy. I don't think I had my bike set up right in spin yesterday.

Tomorrow I will rest.

Ate a big bowl of ice cream after my run...now my stomach doesn't feel too good!

I did a nice 7k run this morning - no watch. I haven't run in about a month so I was worried about my hip acting up again...but it was just fine. It'd be nice to be able to run through the winter...just run easy and often and build up my endurance for a possible spring shot at another marathon.

Feeling good.

Nice running, Britt. I'm starting my marathon training on the 27th of this month. Getting a jump on it.

Tres.... what kind of ice cream... that's pretty important, y'know.

IP... nice getting back into it.

Me, well, I'm doing my neck and shoulder/back exercises... that's about it. Starting to feel a bit of an improvement, but not a whole lot.

Been doing some park walks with hubby here and there. That's about it.

R4R, just do what you can and what you can handle right now. Good luck starting your marathon training later this month.

Coffeenut, as Gidget once said, "holy moly." That's some good milage you're doing on some of your walks.

Tippingpoint, good job with the 7k run.

Tres, good job with your runs and getting pooped from your classes.

Live2run, good job with the half marathon and getting 15 min off your time.

Geralt, congrats on 1 year!

Mycoolfitz, hope you get well.

Inparticular, good luck with your first 5k later this month.

Todayisgood, good job with the 13 mile run.

Did a 5th step at Starbucks on Mon evening before meeting. Actually more of a 10th step where we continue to take personal inventory and turns out to be a mini 4th and 5th step. But still a written inventory and sharing it with another person which I believe is a great combo with an exercise program to stay sober.

Tues evening workout: Jogged on tm for 10 min.
Stationary bike for 10 min.
Stretched out whole body for 20 min.

Just checking in to say "Hi". Sobriety still going well but have been suffering with really bad eye problems the last few months, which have prevented me getting online. Anyway, that is sort of on the mend.

For the same reason I haven't been able to get out running but am hoping to get out tomorrow.

Will check in tomorrow night, hope all are doing well!!

Moosetracks ice cream! Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups and ribbons of dark chocolate. Then I add almonds and Choc syrup. I guess you would say I am a chocoholic too!

Rest day for me today. Can't decide if i want to swim tomorrow eve, or go to 0600 boot camp...I probably need to swim since the tri is on Saturday.

Glad everyone is on the mend. Countdown to one year! November 1st for me! I still can't believe I have done it.

Yeah Tres, fellow November Ninja! Looks like we made it. Unbelievable indeed. So proud of you, you've really stepped up your fitness since we first came on here. Way to go!

I discovered SQUASH tonight!

Tried it with my boyfriend for the first time, holy crap is it fun! Like it's one of the funnest things I've ever done. I've always been intimidated by it but it's not as hard as I thought it would be! I actually was getting some pretty good shots in already! (My boyfriend grew up playing tennis, squash etc. so I had a good teacher.)

I'm hooked, didn't want to get off the court. Can't wait to play again! I think we might go on friday.....

Hey Ultra nice to hear from you!

Glad you're feeling good Fitz. Did you kick butt?

R4R, keep at those exercises, slow and steady wins the race!

Uncle I admire you for doing the steps.

Hi TiG and Ghosty!

Tip glad you had a good run.

Well I gotta go read about media law.

zzzzzz

IP, good for you for trying the squash! I think its good to get out of our comfort zone. Now see what happens! You enjoyed it! That's super exercise too.

I am way out of my comfort zone with the masters swim class. I went tonight all nervous with a pit in my stomach. Well, it wasn't too bad, and I did OK. After, it was the best I had felt all day. I just have to keep going back.

Its quiet here..where are all of you a..kickers?
