Tipping point, the bike sounds sweet. I was so excited when I bought mine. Its a great alternative to running.

Rest today. I'm sore from bootcamp yesterday. I love that feeling.

Hey guys...this is a little OT but what the heck.

This little guy was tied to a tree outside my boys' school. Couldn't resist grabbing a couple of shots of him.

Inparticular, hang in there with that medical condition. Before you know it you'll be good to go.

Tippingpoint, thanks for the tips on running. I'll consider it next time I run. Congrats on your new bike.

Geralt, good job with the 23 km bike ride.

Pipparina, welcome. Good job with the 14 years sobriety. Looking forward to you posting your workouts and your life.

Ghostly, hope all is well in Ghostland. Good job with the running, push ups, squats...

Tres, good job with the bootcamp. Sounds like you're at a nice club.

Todayisgood, good job with the 8 miles. Do you know about how close you are to getting 1000 miles?

Coffeenut, good job with the 4 miles.

Topspin, good job with the 40 minutes of short game work.

Warmed up on stationary bike for 5 min.
Bench press: 135 lbs x 8 reps, 225 x 5, 315 x 4. All reps touch n go.
Close grip bench press: 275 x 6. All reps paused.
Reverse grip lat pull downs: 180 x 10, 180 x 8.

Thanks Unc, yeah I am itchy to get out for a run, I think tonight probably.

Made it to the gym this morning, thank god. I might start going in the mornings before school, but I don't know, that's a pretty early rise. But I think I dislike the after work crowd more than the early wake-up.

Did the rower and the machines, as usual, only 20 mins on the rower but I pushed it. 70 sit-ups. I felt like a slug before, feel much better now. *Ahhhh.*

Weird question-what is the etiquette for machine wipe-down? I always do, and it's the gym rule to do it. But for some reason, NOBODY at this gym does it, even the ladies! What the heck!?!? So gross! Should I say something? I don't want to look like a b*tch or a weirdo, but seriously, come on people, sharing sweat is just unsanitary. It bugs me.

Welcome pipparina!

@Tippingpoint I am so happy you have returned from the dark side (runners) and joined the good guys; cyclists! The runners were slowly starting to get the upper hand. Don't be shy and show us a picture of the bike!

@Tres good job on the boot camp, you are on a run lately.

@Inparticular Thanks for the mental image of a gym full of greasy, sweaty fitness machines

Yesterday was a busy day at work, just 15 minutes of stretching in the evening. Today only 2 bags of mail, so I attacked the hills in the evening. 18km ride and 2 new PR's - 8th out of 17th here (tears of joy - no one knows this hill, that's why I am ranked so high) and 133th out of 143 here (but the road bikers know this one )

Uncle - impressive weight lifting

IP - nice workout. At my previous gym, almost everyone wiped the machines. At my current "ghetto gym" they do not even have any paper available and hardly anyone uses a towel. I find it gross as well.

Geralt - nice climbing

Swimming with daughter yesterday. Ohh I sure can feel the 8 kg I have gained recently . Still managed 35 min due to her nagging me constantly

Today rollerblading - 10 laps for a total of 14 km.

Welcome Pipp
Everyone else seems to be KA. I love seeing all the dedication. It keeps me motivated
Tipping: that puppy is way to cute.

I've had to take a few days off. My back was a mess. ( old injury)
I got out this morning for 2+ miles. Felt nice. It seems like my running has been complicated lately. Thats life at times. Tomorrow morning is on!!!! Have a great day all.

Today was a rest day for me. I will do some tennis ball trigger point for my hamstring tonight.
Tomorrow is an easy 4 miles. I have a 10 mile race Sunday that I think I will skip. My hamstring isn't readying for it, and I can't trust myself not to push it.

And I ate a bowl of ice cream and now I feel sick

Uncle, I'm at 880 miles for 2012. Goal is 1250 for the year.

InP, sounds like there is no ediquette and some bad habits. Gym I joined a couple years ago had towels and spray bottles readily available with signs asking people to wipe the machines after use. Most everyone did.

Gerald, I love the hill competition charting. That's a lot of fun. Good luck!

Piotr, good job pushing through the workout. Hopefully the weight will come off.

Pipp, I have a hamstring nagging me now too. Not so bad, and I hope the strength exercises and gentle stretching will bring it around. Last 5k it didn't bother me at all. Good luck with calming yours down.

There are spray bottles, towels, and signs! That's the most maddening part!

Just ran 5k, *****! I wasn't sure if I could do it after my two week hiatus, but I pushed it and did the six laps. I was a bit tired for the last two.

Good workouts everybody!

Nice running IP!

Welcome Pippa... glad you could join us - we always can use another runner (I'll catch some flack for that...)

Geralt... Great job on the PR!!

Coffee... Dodging hailstones demonstrates great agility :rotfxko

Nice to see you back, Ghost!!!!

Mizzuno... sorry about your back - hope it heals quickly...

Nice workout as usual, Unc!

Piotr.... you'll lose the weight again, I'm sure. Nice you can go exercise with your daughter.

Well, my ankle is just a little sore, but healed quickly. Did 6 miles last night run/walk in 1 hour 15 min. Not too shabby for trying to get back into the swing of things. I will sign up for the half marathon tomorrow (I'll get my money back from the marathon and it will be a wash). Going to try 10.5 - 12 on Saturday morning since the half is only 3 weeks away. See how it goes...

Oh and I almost forgot.... I have two months sobriety today!!!

Ok, Bye
