Uncle: May I ask how the job front is going? You okay with that?

Tres: I like reading about those kettle work outs. I need something different....

Ghost: Mornin', Buttercup!

I intend to move my butt tonight. Intend is the key word, there. I'll get something.....

Make it a Great Friday, all!

I noticed that too Tom.... HI AKASHA!!!

Yep Coffee and Ghost.. got my 3 in yesterday. I wish I could run the whole thing though.... got up to about 2.5 and walked a bit. It's coming back pretty quickly though, so I won't complain too much.

Nothing today. Tomorrow meeting with a couple people at 7am - that should be fun. We're starting off doing 1/4 fast walk - 1/4 run. That's way too easy for me, but not for them. After that I will be doing my 3. Can't wait
Blisters are much better... a bit of a bruise on my right heel but it's ok.

Catch you all later.... have a Happy Friday

Hi R4R!!!! So glad you are back and doing well. I hit a year again on 4/16. It felt amazing. Now I want to beat my 6 yrs clean.

Today's walk 4.18 miles. Legs are screaming at me right now.

The nicest part of reaching a year (at least for me) was that I stopped counting the days at 366. Congrats again.

What ever happened to your church running group R4R?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Early morning meeting for me at the office so no time to ride, but always time for an animated 4 mile speed walk. Stopwatch in hand. And since there was no time to go to the gym either, got down on the bathroom floor when I got back and did some push ups. I can do 100, but not in a row. That shall be my new goal.
Great day everyone...... TdC.
Back from my Paris trip.
Long, long full packed days. Enjoyed it a lot. Walked 20+ km daily. Daughter started complaining about it
It is no different that seeing a sporting event =drinking, or cooking = drinking, or whatever= drinking. It may be easy to let down your guard when traveling (I did it myself many times), but you must set your guard higher if you want to succeed.
And one more thing Piotr: Got to go to Sainte-Chapelle. I enjoyed it more than Notre Dame. And if you can, Musée de Cluny.
Tom - thanks for the recommendations. Didn't manage to go to Palais Garnier - next time.
Went on a walking tour of Montmartre and Marais - both wonderful.
Long hours of walking was the theme of the trip and we agreed beforehand to only visit one museum - Orsay and no churches. Bended our rules and saw the Helmut Newton exhibition at Grands Palais as well.
Walked up the Eiffel Tower to the second level and took a lift to the top.
Whole 12 hour day at Disneyland - I even went on the rollercoaster rides I don't enjoy too much, but daughter wanted me to go with her.
Tip: add at least 50% to the amount you thought needed to get a realistic budget
Squeezed in 2 morning English-speaking AA meetings to calm my anxiety. Helped a lot. Also nice to see the different style of meetings then here.
Resting during the weekend
Piotr, glad to hear your trip went well. I think its grand that you went to AA while you were there. Impressive, and i am sure it helped a lot.
Rest day for me. I have been in a fabulous mood all day. Not sure why, but I will take it.
Night night everyone.
Tom, bathroom floor push ups...nice. I have done jumping jacks at work in the bathroom, but too chicken to touch the floor in a hospital...
The pushups, on the floor, that was in MY bathroom floor. Did not want to wake up the wife so early with my groaning.
WOW... Disneyland Paris..... That must have been quite a day. Paris really is a walker's paradise. Gave my wife pretty bad shin splints. We would choose a destination for the morning, take the metro to it, and then just leisurely take the rest of the day to walk back through the different neighborhoods. Love Paris, and to be honest Piotr, I was a bit concerned about you with all that wine. Wine is cheaper than bottled water in restaurants there. Glad you made it out OK.
I wish you guys (you two know who you are) would stop picking on my friend Coffenut. It is not easy having to run backwards and besides, she can run marathons in her days off around your "running" drills. Go play with your cow whatchamacallit and give the lady a break...... Ignore them Cof.
Me?!?!!?!?! Hmmmm...wonder what Coffee would think of this. Please Coffee, let us (me) know if anyone (me) has offended thee. I will go after them (me) with a fire-ry fiery! Or...me thinks Tom has officially WORKED TOO HARD and started to lose it. Though Tom is right and Coffee can run circles around many of us (me).
Sleeping! I've waited for your return!
"We want sleeping, We want sleeping!" - huh, what's that? "Run on us sleepy, run!". Yes, definitely it's the sound of the pebbles calling you!
Piotr, I am glad you enjoyed Paris. Montmartre and Marais are great for walking and very beautiful, I went there years ago on a school excursion. Disneyland is on my to do list.
Uncle, thanks, I found this Everlast beginner's set on-line, it has all the stuff you described: Everlast Boksset, Middengewicht gunstig kopen - Sport-Tiedje online shop . Now I have to safe a few euro's every month and it will be great for the winter, those dark boring evenings Good job on the squats.
Hi Akasha, nice runs!
I celebrated my weight loss with a lot of chicken and Gouda cheese sandwiches. Dutch cheese is so good, the biggest flaw in my diet. Who couldn't resist Edam, Gouda, Leerdammer, Amsterdammer Old and others?
Yesterday just 3 easy hours at work, 45 minutes of stretching and flexibility training. Stretching is a part of my training I have really neglected. 10 am here and the weather is looking ok, still very cold for May though, 10 degrees. Going out for a fitness bicycle ride
Rrrrofl! You guys surely know how to start a Saturday. Serious when I say....this place has kept me grounded (or running backward) on more than one occasion. Thanks, friends.
4 running and 3 walking yesterday. Not sure what today will bring....maybe some deep breathing!
Have an awesome weekend, all!
It is a beautiful day here. Took my dog children to a play session. Have a great weekend everybody.
Today's little walk 4.3 miles. Not long before I lose the last 10-15 lbs.
Hi Akasha--great job on the 4.3 miles!
Coffee: nice job with the running and walking...and breathing!
Geralt: good job combining the cardio and strength training!
Ghostly and Tom: Good to see you (and everyone else!)
I've been mostly focused on continued strengthening of my shoulder through yoga stretches. No rides this week, but I might try to get out this morning, if I can. It is so nice to be back on the bike, but I'm taking it slow to avoid reinjuring myself.
Keep it up all!
Wow... you guys have been posting like crazy.. NICE
Yep, met with two women (younger) from my church this morning 7am.... woke up at 5:30 and almost fell back to sleep!!! I woke up and immediately 'waking up is hard to do' went through my head... oh, wait that's 'BREAKING up is hard to do... Oh well.
Anyway, it went good. I wanted to run more afterwards, but I had to go to the bank and payoff one of them (no, not for running with me)... she watched our dog when we were on vacation. And the other wanted to go for coffee... (no, not Coffee... coffee).
Next week it's walk .25 run .5 I'm going for a run tomorrow though. Don't really need a 'day off' at the moment.
I'm glad you explained the bathroom was YOURS, Tom... I was beginning to think that maybe you were a little to obsessive about the exercise thing
Welcome back home, Piotr.
And nice to see you again Sleeping.
Hi everyone else and great job doing what you're doing - even if it's resting!
Ghost, keep in mind that little girl is half of that mean wife, so whatever you said/did...go say sorry and be done with it.
Far, slow and easy is the best!
R4R, any kind of coffee is good!
7 mile walk for me. Stopwatch in mind, not hand, though.
Have a great evening!
