Coming up on 1 year sober, now its time to get in shape!

Just spent the last 2 hours designing up a Meal Plan for my first workout week. Eating 5 times a day. Heres what I got for my first week. (I will be eating the same thing everyday because its easier that way hahaha)

Meal 1: Hi-lo Cereal (1 cup), Skin Milk (3/4 Cup), Half a Banana

Meal 2: Nutrition Bar, 1/2 Cup of 1% Cottage Cheese

Meal 3: Ranch Chicken Wrap. (3-4oz Chicken breast, whole grain tortilla 6inch, lettuces, Red Bell Pepper, reduced fat ranch)

Meal 4: Classic P&J! (Whole grain bread, Tbsp peanut butter, 1/4 banana slices)

Meal 5: Brown rice chicken bowl (3-4oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup Brown rice, 1/2 cup corn, 1/2 peas)

That's it! Very high protein, but great for a workout plan I think. I added it up, and I think it will cost me around 50 bucks a week. I hope anyways. If I pass-out of mal nutrition I'll re-adjust I believe this will get me around 1500 cal intake where I want to be. Ill be starting this meal plan next week following my 1 years of sobriety. Last year I quit drinking, this year I get in shape. LETS ROCK PEOPLE!

Ryan, Congrats on your ONE YEAR coming up !

Good plan to combine healthy eating with a fitness routine also.

Since I won't eat any sugar, it forces me to keep more fresh fruit in the kitchen for the sugar (fructose) I need.

What kind of workouts do you enjoy ?

Hey Ryan, congrats on nearly a year! You look so well...really, a different guy from the first profile pic I remember when you first joined.

It's amazing how quitting the booze can change your life is so many more ways than you can imagine. I've lost 20 pounds, I workout every day - trail running half marathon distances, martial arts, and a military style bootcamp. Life is sweet, but not only that, I've learned to 'dig deep' and find a resiliance that I never knew I had.

So glad you are doing so well.

So GREAT to hear Newwings! It surely has been a wild ride this year, but all for the better. Looking back to where I was 1 year ago today is absolutely mind blowing. I can honestly say the hardest part of it all was the mental aspect. The quitting drinking part was the easy part when I look back. Dealing with the mental mind F**K of day to day life is where I struggled the most. But I can proudly say I never gave in to any of it. Kept telling myself "this is all temporary." AND IT WAS! Living proof of that people!
(Still not a year yet, 4 more days)

So I'm real excited about continuing to better myself, and eating healthier is my next big goal. Last year I quit drinking, and this year I will continue to focus on a more healthier life style. I guess I can also put it this way too. Last year I got my mind back, and this year I want my body back! HAHAHA

-Ryan

P.S. CONGRATS ON 1 YEAR FOR YOU NEWWINGS! SO SO SO AWESOME! I'll be right with you in 4 days

Its GAME ON THIS YEAR PEOPLE! This guys going to get in shape!
