Went out for a 7/8 miler, hard to know with google maps i dont trust it. My energy levels felt awful, maybe I could use a high energy plan, I tend to eat what I want to be honest..a reward for not drinking and exercising which of course is the most important But alot of what I want probably isnt great, im partial to a bit of junk lik everyone.

I definately enjoy WATCHING sports more without a beer...it was only ever the party atmosphere when your teams doing well than i think will be a struggle for me.

Stewart, you're doing great. I am just now starting to think about getting my eating back on track, aka cutting out the sugar. You work on staying sober - it is the most important. Until you feel really stable in your sobriety, I think its okay to let the other things slide. Maybe that's just me! My trainer is hell bent on me cutting out the sugar. I know I need to. He says my belly will be gone in 2 weeks. I said, okay, it's a deal or else you're FIRED!

ok I will need to do a big multi-quote later today, so much activity in here.

well, woke up at 7:18 today...that, for me, is LATE!!!!! kind of flipped out, threw on my gear and hit the road. Wow, cars, lights, people, daylight...things I never encounter on those morning rides in.

I had to be up for a brief stint overnight and that really messed with my system. Will be back later to cheer you all on, great things happening in here.

When I made the plans, I had no clue that was Superbowl weekend or that the game was being played in Dallas. My first clue was how expensive the hotels and rentacars were that weekend. I am not looking forward to that mess. We will stay as far away from Irving as we can that Sunday.
That's awesome about your son! That weekend is definitely going to be insane, though.

I just figured out how to multi-quote, so I am practicing my new skillz. AND I had to use the popcorn guy again. Thanks, Coffee, for mentioning popcorn. Popcorn guy is my new fave.

And to keep my post workout-related, I had a nice session with my trainer this morning.

My problem is that I am so tired after working all day that I am lazy when it comes to cooking. I am a self-employed window cleaner so I am up and down ladders all day and do lots of stretching.

I hear you, Spen. Sometimes I work long days and I'm darting from classroom to classroom, to the car, driving to a different school, and off to teach another class.

What about apples, bananas, oranges, and sandwiches? No cookin', just throwing some stuff together in a bag. Or if you don't want bread, just the lunch meat. I do that a lot! Boring, but it does the trick. And I don't know about you, but I need to stop seeing food as a source of entertainment!

I didn't want to say anything, but that other post of yours did have some mistakes in it. Anyway, I like what I do, although I think my true calling is something with animals.

Ok folks, home again..helicopters in the air as the police presence grows on Capitol Hill. I had a nice ride home, warm temps compared to recent cold.

DB, I try to do some small amount of fruit each day: half banana and 1-2 apples. It isn't a lot but I try to be consistent. Sugar is such a problem, it's everywhere.

I really want to try yoga, seems so hard though especially for a guy. Maybe that is off base??

Stewart I do the same now...I'm overdoing the fatty stuff and convincing myself it's ok because it's not daily drinking. I need to level things out.

Coffe, spen, tom ; ghostly, everyone lurking, hope your day was a good one.

I don't know... I don't see guys doing yoga very often, but I don't think it is more difficult for them. I think you are just making excuses!!! Boy, it seems I am the one trying to stir the pot today.

I think I can honestly say I did not follow one thing on here tonight.... my brain kinds of feels like it's i a fog... usually means anxiety is very high and I have to calm down.

Didn't get a chance to run tonight -- had to pack for a work trip to MI for the next three days. I'll be on here in the evenings to check in and make sure I'm (I mean you're all ok)... ok, so I meant me also...

It does look like tomorrow night I will be TM'ing it though -- two nights in a row... Oh well, there ARE worse things in life than getting on a treadmill.... just unaware of them at the moment

But I do want to say that I really need to start looking at some races for this year. Line some up like MGF has...

But All in all I'm ok -- want warmer weather and sunshine!

I think it is a question of flexibility. At my gym, I think it is one guy to 20 women during yoga clases. Us guys rather spend time pumping iron and pretending to be contortionist. But then again 20:1... if I was single....just kidding....

Got my 20 mile bike ride in this morning and a tricep workout last night in my garage. Every thing is going good. Take care everyone.

Really: BREATHE, friend! Try and get in some kind of exercise...maybe walk? Do some situps....it will improve your mood...even if it drives you crazy to carve out time for it. Feel better, Friend!

I hear you on the TM. Last 4 runs have been on one. Tonight it was 8 miles....miserable, but I got 'em, you will too.

Ghostly: Will you describe bridges, so it makes sense? Please and thank you.

I'm taking a container of fruit or veggies to work every day now. Really cuts out other garbage that I would just be enhaling. I even peel grapefruits like Top suggested. Once you get into the habit of it...it works...really well!

Keeeeeeeeeeeep Kickin' It!

Back Neck Bridge:

Forward is the same but reversed with your butt in the air.

A lot of people think this is a somewhat dangerous neck exercise.

I've been doin it for years. A lot of wrestlers and MMA fighters do this. It is great for building neck strenght. Neck muscles protect our brain. When I do these I rock back and forth and side to side. I also hold it for 30 seconds or so. I do the front ones to.

Ghostly, thanks. I kinda thought that's what it was. I used to do something like that sometimes as a kid. Haven't tried it in ages.
