Just finished 4.5 km / 2.8 mile run on the hamster wheel. Didn't really want to do it today but glad I did now that I'm finished and feel energised. Off to physio in a bit for some more torture on my contorted back.

Still resting....bout ready to drive me nuts. I really need some cardio.

Fub....if you have a neck ache.....after having a cold.....might I suggest a trip to the dr? You can tell me to go fly a kite....but that doesn't sound good.

Week 3 Day6
Thanks for the suggestion Coffee but the neck is fine now. I know exactly why it was sore. I was using one of those Ab rollers and my abs weren't pulling their weight, so to speak, so my neck got strained. I am now good to go.
I am just getting old. The old eyes are getting bad too so if my posts are filled with typos sometimes that is the reason.
It feels good to be settled into a routine and I am glad my routine does not include an afternoon trip to the tavern like it used to.
Way to push through when you did not want to Shifty. It is days like that that I need to be here to keep inspired.

I think you strained your neck by ogling the women at the gym, Fub. That will teach ya. Eyes forward!

Today is cardio and a steam only. I like these days best. I may go a bit longer as a severe winter storm is coming in today which may hinder tomorrow's workout. If that does happen I will walk a few times on my home treadmill.

Hey Coffee, do you go to a gym? Would the bike aggravate your foot? Hope it feels better soon.

My mission this weekend is to try not chowing too much while watching the playoffs..............

Yesterday I did 2.25 miles on the treadmill and took my dogs for an evening walk.

I weighed myself and I've lost 2 pounds this week so I'm assuming that my healthier eating is paying off. Haven't cut out the pasta or breads, but I'm now eating whole grains and I am paying attention to everything I buy...reading the labels on everything. I did cut out the red meat. Eating lots of fish and chicken.

Today is suppose to be my break day, but I don't know. I really enjoy getting on the treadmill in the evenings (I should say after I get started). I always feel so good when I'm done. I'll just wait and see how I feel when I get home.

Fub....glad your neck is better!

feb first I move in with a new room mate. The old one is a meat and taters kind of guy, the new one is a pescatarian, so that should be helpful. Wish I could go the distance on a daily challenge with you, someday fub

Hi all,

GF what is a pescatarian? I hope you keep coming around here, your posts reflect some of the craziness I often feel define my life.

FUB feels better, this is good.

Windy and Coffee are resting, also good.

Shifty, VC and 4ever are runnig like the wind!

Me - cold keeping me down. I will walk again and then snuggle up in my nest and read by the fire.

well yesterday i hit the sweeties and chocolates hard.. still better than booze and da powder...

sorted myself out by the method of slapping ones self around the face with a wet fish and
please to report am back on track

2 hours kickboxing session this morning and a spinning class this evening.....
ate healthily..

have a good weekend folks

It is someone who abstains from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish. It is an uncommon term and is usually the last step before becoming a full blown vegetarian.

That is the lesson today.

45 minutes of cardio. I increased the level and could really feel the difference. I may walk a little on the treadmill later. Just to get warm!!!!! Brrrrr.

No gym here, VC. I run....but not till I can get this healed.

I am fine coffee really but i really do appreciate your concern.
I want to thank everyone who has posted and participated again this week. We are all making progress and I can only imagine how hard it is for busy people to find the time. Fortunately or unfortunately I have not much to do and 24 gours a day to do it in.
Rest day today and 3 weeks of gym finished. Now that I am 100% again I am looking forward to getting back outside for my walks.
I am tired of the mall.

Fish and chicken are vegetables. Ask anybody. Every now and then I'll run in to a vegetarian and they're usually fat. LOL

I totally blew it. Went on a very major chocolate donuts binge. And sat around and read.

I did donate blood tho', so I did do something good.

I also walked in front of the mirror nekked. It is always a shock..like when did I get fat there?!!!!
That dress is low cut in the back....I can't be fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
106 days to look decent in it.

ha, Windy...I am a carnivore! At my sis's for awhile, she is a vegetarian and he eats very strictly....I got so sick of grilled chicken I was hollering...I gotta have some RED meat, can I please have some RED meat?

I practically don't ever want to see chicken on my plate again.

A fat vegetarian? LOL....they must be bread-aholics.

Live, I think you needed extra energy to give blood so the donuts were probably a necessity. Sounds good anyway! And who invented back fat anyway? Why can't it ever go to the breast area! HA!!!!!!!!!!!

How's the foot today Coffee??

Not sure if I will get to the gym today, the roads look pretty snow packed and it is still coming down. Will check it out later. I can always walk on my home treadmill.

Feel awesome. Had a great workout today, and now I'm ready to start studying (after I finish procrastinating on soberrecovery! Ha!). Wishing everyone a great Saturday, with lots of healthy choices (including naps!). I love this thread!
