Hi. My 38 year old daighter has recently become an alcoholic. She has eaten barely anything for 3 days, is constantly dizzy, vomited often and has fainted 6 times in 2 days. We took her to A&E last night. Bloods ok, urine ok, ECG ok. I have never seen her so ill though and don't know what to do. Can you advise please?

Is she under a doctor’s care, genie?
Not a physician, and I cant give medical advice even if I were, but maybe another visit to A and E if she still isn’t well?
Is she drinking or withdrawing?

This did not just start "recently".
It usually takes a lot to hit bottom.
Definitely red some flags.
Alcoholics are usually not honest,
especially about their addiction(s).
Most people who come into AA nowadays
have dual addictions.
Just my 2 cents.
