Next Generation

My son's daughter is a beautiful 18 year old.
She is now into drugs and all the horrible behaviors that go along with that.

She sent me a text asking for money. I told her I can't send money, but I would send some food. She replied with never mind.
Her mom is handling it well and protecting herself and her younger daughter.

I haven't been able to be close to her. I'm pretty sure she has a serious personality disorder and she can't form close relationships. I had her for 6 months when her mom was away and it was very difficult. It was so hard I actually had to send her to a relative a month early. That lady only lasted 4 days. I've dealt with some serious behaviors in my life, but this was over the top. One time she looked at me and said "I don't think I would ever kill anyone". Kind of a mixture between narcissist and sociopath. I waited 15 years to see her and was heartbroken with how that turned out.

I don't know what's ahead for her. I pray she makes it and gets some help.

I'm so sorry MG. It is tragic to see someone you love go down this road.

Many, many hugs to you.

Prayers for your granddaughter and family. I am sorry this is your reality and for your heavy heart. There's always that light at the end of the tunnel - it is a possibility she might seek it at some point.

So sorry to hear this. I hate addiction and the damage it leaves in its path.

I will keep her in my prayers too, MG.

You have always done your best for your kids and your grand kids, that's the best any of us can do.

Hugs
