New Journey

I saw a picture of me taken on the 4th. I know and have known that I need to lose about 45 lbs. but that picture is what got me moving forward on this. I am planning on using the tools I learned early i my sobriety days. Today was a good day . I was tempted into eating things that were not in my food plan and i just told myself.... not today.... maybe tomorrow but not today. I plan on using this forum to help keep me accountable just like I used the alcoholics forum. I lost 10 lbs right away just from not drinking. I'm a little over 6 months in my sobriety and now I will start another journey of self improvement. Kind of rambling. So thankful for SR!

Today is day 2. I did well yesterday and weighed myself this morning and dropped 2 1/2 lbs. I will make good food choices today and stay on my food plan.

Hi Ladybug-

Welcome to this side of the forum.

I want to let you know that there is an active forum re: food in the Newcomers daily support section that you may want to check out.

Congrats on your sobriety.

LadyBug, good for you! I too got sober first and then later addressed my compulsive overeating.

The last addiction to go (food) was my first addiction. Whole bunch of stuff in between! One could say I was switching deck chairs on the Titanic.

I wish you the best. Hang in there. Baby steps are good enough! And setbacks are ok too, just learn from them. That's what I do.
