My creative nature.

I'm STUCK...and not utilizing it but I would never want to be without that part of me.

My compassion and sensitivity I guess. I have a lot of empathy for others, which can make my life quite difficult sometimes, but I wouldn't change it.

That I'm caring, and not vindictive, I usually see the good in people and give them a fair chance.

My love for, and care of, my critters. It's my best trait. It's in my genes.

My openmindedness, in that after I realize I'm wrong, have done wrong, don't know enough or want to know more/enough, I seek help/assistance.
As an alcoholic Asperger male I often don't get people in real-time, I don't have a normal level of cognitive empathy, but with help, can understand what went on in a past event or conversation. How's that for an answer? (true, heh, oh well, grateful to be sober)

I love to encourage people one on one, face to face. One of my friends in my home group many years ago told me "Reggie, you are an encourager". I think she is right. It makes me feel good to try to help others "feel good". I hope I never, ever lose that positive expectancy of life. I thank God for that trait he has blessed me with.

The one thing that I hope never changes is my resilience. If I didn't have that I think I would be dead right now.

I love being honest and not living a lie, as I was when I drank.

I do not always like it. In truth, it gets me into some trouble, but it is my belief in some moral imperatives...certain mores that defy relativistic interpretation.

What I do enjoy and always like is the shear awe and wonder I feel embracing certain works of art...some sculpture, some music, some literature

My absolute faith in God.

But also my capacity to love people (including myself).

I credit my sobriety for all of these.
