I'm gonna get shallow, here. I'm a redhead. When I was a kid I hated it because it made me stand out. That's the same reason I've loved it as an adult. I get a lot of compliments on that.

I don't judge. I am always the middle man and will always see both sides. My ex used to tell me that I had no opinions on anything. I don't, and I think it is a well-rounded trait.

Okay, maybe that wasn't the right answer. Perhaps my ability to think laterally would be better. My sense of humor tends to run in unexpected and usually absurd directions. It also helps me in my music to not just hear what would sound "right" but what might sound absurd and grotesque...but kinda cool.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody! Thank you to all who participated in this inspiring community poll. It was absolutely great to see positivity and self-love displayed in a time where we can be very critical about ourselves. Let's go into 2015 with our heads held high and remember what we love most about ourselves!

Here's the published poll, featured on our homepage today: Community Poll: What Is One Thing That You Love about Yourself and Would NEVER Change?

I get this. I have naturally curly hair. I hated it as a kid and continued to all the way up to my mid thirties.

Now I love it. I love that I can wash and go. I don't have to mess with blow dryers or curling irons. I can just go wild. I am a permanent press kinda gal.

I used to HATE myself, the word LOVE was not something I attributed to myself, and had the opinion how could anyone else LOVE me.

But that was alcohol doing the talking, I clung on to the things I disliked about myself and so I drank to escape, but the more I drank the more alcohol convinced me that I really was a lost cause, unloveable, a waste of space, I was on the downward spiral to depression and maybe suicide had I not of turned things around.

What would I not change?!! . . .Sobriety, alcohol sold me lies, it hid the truth about what my potential really is, affecting my moods and thoughts, created a depressed, anxious individual that became content sitting alone drinking into the night, Sobriety on the other hand set me free!!

It's quite sad when it takes so long to think of something you're actually happy with - but that's alcohol I guess - it erodes your sense of self worth. One thing that I won't change is generally being a calm person to be around I guess - When I am sober of course!
