Learning to stand up for myself fearlessly.

I grew up timid, rather small of stature and with no self-confidence.

In sobriety, my sponsor repeatedly demanded that I stand up for myself whenever someone was trying to take advantage of me in the workplace environment.

It was so difficult then, but now it is intuitive.

I am not that person I used to be.

Tell my drinking guests who offer me wine that I no longer drink, and offer them my ginger, lime, and ginger beer ‘cocktail’, and they like it. And I feel I’m inspiring THEM.

Facing and accepting the issues that fueled my depression. Once I started doing that, I faced the pain and got PAST IT! And the coolest part? I started to think of solutions instead of being stuck in the pain.
