Chat room help please!..
 

Hey all,
I'm fairly new here. 12 days sober...... I don't understand how chat works or where the chat room is? .... I see some people say they are in the chat room talking all day or night sometimes. Is it different than being in a forum? Just trying to figure out how things work and navigating the SR forum. I'm a bit stumped on the chat thing. Help??? Lol! :e136:

Hi Angeleyes,

The Chat Room can be accessed by clicking on the blue/pink box located on the bottom right side of your screen.

If you click on the icon ... you'll be able to chat with members in real time.

Please feel free to click on the icon. Chat is open 24/7.

Mine's a little pinkish box with an arrow in the bottom right hand corner. If you hover the cursor over it, it will say "show chat".

I don't 'do' chat because I can't keep up, chatting is in real time, whereas the forums are just whenever someone replies.

I went in the chat room and typed in a simple hello to see if it works for me but I don't know how to send the message. There's no option. Maybe because I'm on my phone? I don't have my laptop with me, it's at home. I'm staying with my mom for my first 3 weeks getting sober. Still confused lol!

Thank you all! I'm on my phone and changed it to desk top view thinking that might help but I don't know how to get it back to mobile view on my phone. ....lol.... Idk what I'm doing!😂

OK I just figured out how to change it back to mobile view but still can't "send" my message in chat on my phone. I can type something in the chat room but no option to send it so idk!

Where has the chatroom feature gone from yesterday? Where it was in the bottom righthand corner now says mobile chat? What have I pressed to make this happen?
I had a good time last night chatting and even managed a few laughs, id like another go but now its gone?
Help, im new and unfamiliar. Has it been upgraded?
