Good morning Whiners, I hope you're all well. I'm just back from doing my morning running about, the g.kiddo's finish school on Friday and I was telling them this morning that today is the last Monday of 2019 that they will be in school, the next time they are in on a Monday it will be 2020. It didn't make my little one any keener to go in though, he was saying when he got up that he didn't feel too well, but he says that every Monday and seeing as he ate the chocolate out of his advent calendar, ate his porridge all up and went hunting round to find his 'elf on a shelf' I don't think there is much wrong with him, lol.

Venus, I hope all is good with you. I'm so glad your chocolates got delivered.

Ann I had a lovely visit thank you, it was Mr D.B's granddaughter with her 3 babies 4,3 and 4 months, Mr D.B became a great granddad at the ripe old age of 56 They are such lovely children, mum is only 21 herself but she's turned out to be a really good mum after some very rocky teenage years. Baby Ralphie is chuckling and cooing all the time, he's such a happy baby despite being lactose intolerant. Anyway, I have lots of sticky little hand marks to wipe clean but it won't take long.
No, no, stick to your guns if you're happy where you are. Moving is too stressful, you don't need it.

Hi Chic, I hope work is kind to you today.

Yes Hevyn, Mr D.B was very sensible, I'm glad he got home safe and sound, him going into town at night time, especially at this time of year, worried me, there are far too many drunken idiots lurking about. So glad I'm not one of them any more.

Least, I love your idea of giving your unwanted cups and bedspread to a women's shelter/charity, they will be very grateful and will be able to make goood use of them. It's very kind of you.
I'm following your lead and cleaning bit by bit, it's the only way I can do it.
I hope all is okay with your p.c.

PJ. "a NAKED tree Hev?? (gasp)" watch your blood pressure, try to think of it as 'still art.'

Good to see you MKlove, I hope your tree makes a good recovery after being blown over. xx

I hope your snow doesn't stick Least. Thanks for the music, I like it too.

Good morning dear Mags, I'm listening to Least's music clip as I'm typing. Most of the trees round here are bare now, in fact you've reminded me that I need to go in my back garden and brush the leaves up, they've all fallen off my Magnolia tree and the wind has blown them up by my door.
It's very cold outside and I know what you mean about it feeling like snow, I'm very puzzled though at how you can write 'snow' and 'wishful thinking' in the same sentence.
I'm sorry that Mr Mags isn't too good today and I hope he feels better very soon. I'm sure your chicken soup will revitalise him. Stay in and keep warm. xx

P.J that's what you call warm. 6C or 42.8 F here at the moment, it feels colder.

Back later, have the best Monday you can.

Love always xx

I am ALWAYS ready to move.
There is a seaside village two towns over that I just adore. House prices are higher than my town, gotta pay for that village quaintness, but I would move there in a heartbeat.
Mr. M, not so much.
He likes our current house, and I will admit that it’s an easy place to take care of, and pretty perfect if we decide to do the age in place thing.
I am not liking that the downstairs coat closet is pretty jam packed, and we also seem to have acquired several junk drawers.
I just threw out a dish drying rack that we haven’t used in the 5 years we have been here.
Very satisfying.

Maybe we could leave Mr M in that house and go and move to the seaside cottage together? As many cats as you like. s

Suze, perhaps a scathing review of this chocolate company? shame, they are probably overly confident that they won't lose any business. I hope your aunt got the chocolates.
I wouldn't do that....they are such nice people and seriously the best. Their website just needs someone like Nick to FIX IT!!!

(Lake Champlain).

I made ONE bad review ever, and I will never do it again....the vendor threatened me. As in seriously. It was on Etsy, and he said if I did not remove it he would make sure that no one ever sold to me again, and my shop would be blackbanned. Err....I was scared. Easier to remove the review and let it go than to take on someone that crazy.

Aunt Libby is Nick's dad's sister. So not really my aunt exactly.

Hev, my tree is still in the box. I have a few things set out and it looks more festive but the dang tree is just sitting there.

PJ, stay cool, that kind of heat would put me down.

Mags, I too have a coat closet that needs thinning...and coats given away while it is still winter. And junk drawers...kitchen junk...bedroom junk...desk junk...desk junk....I think if I have several drawers, I have less junk.

Daisy, Baby Ralphie sounds adorable, sticky hands and all. I just love it when they are babies, so innocent and fun...and yes, a lot of work.

MKlove, the napping Christmas tree made me chuckle, so peaceful sounding.

Chic, one day soon you will be a happily retired person and wonder when you ever had time to work. You will delight at the senior's discounts too.

Maudcat, the house we looked at yesterday was about 100 steps from Lake Ontario (one of our lovely great lakes). There is a provincial park peninsula known for its bird migrations, that you could walk to from the house on the walking trail. The pretty yellow house was about 3 years old, perfect size and perfect inside, the kind of house that could have a white picket fence around it, with a front porch and back deck from which I could see swans in the water in the lake. Trouble is, it was too much money, just a tad over our budget but a tough stretch for our age. I would move to a house just like it if the price was within my budget. I am definitely not into any kind of "fixer upper", it must be move in ready. I am too old and too cheap to pay to fix up. And...I am very happy right where I am.

Today I am mostly restful, a little laundry and a trip to the post office this afternoon to mail my late Christmas cards. It's a slugfest here to get things done for some reason.

Venus, I stepped on your whine. I could eat dark chocolate all day every day and fine chocolate is such a treat. Your Aunt Libby must be delighted to have you in the family now.

I miss Opi, hope she is on the mend and will be back with us soon. If you read this, Opi, prayers out and all our love.

Good morning whiners! There's a bit of snow on the ground, just an inch or so.

PJ, hope you can stay cool.

No, I can't find it.

It warmed up to 38 F so I took Billie for a long walk. Almost 2 miles. Billie enjoyed all the sniffing and she even did a LW.

Most of the snow is gone now.

Well, I am officially old. I forgot to change out of my house shoes when I went to the bank. I realized it when I saw my feet while getting out of the car. What's more is I didn't even care!

Mine are almost like this, so at least I wasn't wearing the ones with the dog face and stand up ears.

PJ - Tree is no longer entirely naked. It is now wearing strategically placed strings of lights. (Still no ornaments).

Maudcat - Seaside Village - no doubt worth the price. I was lucky enough to live by the sea once, but in a condo in a rather bawdy town.

Mags - I hope your mister gets feeling well again soon.

Mk - It's great to see you posting.

Suki - I've almost worn slippers out a few times. It's not uncommon around here to see people in p j bottoms & fuzzy slippers on the street.
Cat/Owl puzzle - that's a really good one - took me ages.

I enjoyed my lazy day, got 3 easy loads of laundry done.

First day of new med doseage went well. Cross your fingers.

It is very cold here but no new snow, just the old stuff.

My new pink fuzzy bunny slippers would not survive outdoors.

A seaside village would appeal very much to me Maudcat, I don't live anywhere near one unfortunately.

Gosh Venuscat I can't believe someone threatened you for giving a bad review, how very rude of them.

Ann, I think I have as many junk drawers as you, I need a good sort out some time very soon.
Yes, babies are adorable and so innocent and gorgeous, well they are until you put one over your shoulder and then it throws up down your best jumper. Time to give it back to mummy then, lol .

I miss Opi too, I hope she's much better and I hope she comes back very soon.

It took me a while Suki but I found it in the end.

I'm glad your snow has gone Least, I hope we don't get any. I bet Billie had a good sleep after all that walking.

Oops Suki, it's easy done , I wouldn't have cared either.

Well at least you've made a start Hevyn, you sound about as enthusiastic as me, lol.

I'm glad your new dosage of meds went well Ann, fingers crossed it stays that way.

Back tomorrow, goodnight all.

Love always xx
