Purps, following me may not be the best way to go, I have no idea what I'm doing, but thank you very much. I just think you are the bomb! Have fun at the canine christmas festival!
Least that just makes me sick. I think, like in Kosher laws, all animals, even those used for food should be treated humanely. I hope this bill goes back to the drawing board for a lot of change. So if it comes to the voter, we'll have to v ote against it. Least, if you happen to find out the name of the bill, I didn't look either, so I know what to watch for. Thank you for awareness too.
My shift went so well yesterday. Mean girl, as I am using the grey rock method on her, is dying for me to talk to her, I can tell. I was putting towels away and she even said goodbye to me! Tables do turn. I won't be mean, usually not my style, I probably have been mean, but I don't mean to be unless someone crosses me badly, then there is no quarter-Lol- sort of just kidding. Actually, I will just use the grey rock method and then they just aren't there for me. I am staying far away from her. I just think she's trouble.
Ask me anything about ARF. I probably know whose petting who! It's really fun seeing people I just worked with. I hope I don't get my pic in there accidentally. With all the steam from the kitchen Hobart, hot water and the huge washer and dryers, my hair looks like Robert Plant's used to! But in this dry California air, it straightens again in a couple of hours.
You know, Purps, I went to Florida State University. When I was in high school we used to go on vacation to Sanibel Island and I loved Tallahassee. Call me crazy, but I'd never lived in a small town before and I loved it. I wasn't staying in the Chicago weather one more day than I had to. I am almost thinking that in the future depending on how things go, I may move back there. Big horse country too. So much cheaper. A studio in a semi decent area start at $1600-2600 in this area. I can't afford to live here after my mom goes. Maybe I could check up some towns up north in CA and see what's up. I love CA though and I sure would hate to leave it. But I did love FL a lot too. I've been all over the state.
Well, I'm thinking out loud. Thank you least for your tutelage on Twitter. I'm getting a tiny bit better at it! Purps, thanks for being you! Have a great day to two of my favorite peeps. Love you all! ♥♥♥

Purps, I just saw Copper. He is adorable. He may have been getting neutered while I was there and I think they put the puppies in a different location. I hope he gets a home. I don't always know the names of the dogs. They adopted like 53 dogs and cats last week. I hope it continues. ♥♥♥

So glad U had a great shift Aly ~ put that girl in her place!

Had a fun time at Canine Christmas ~ it's going on today and tomorrow + the blood bus is there....I had never donated blood before, but thought what the heck.....then found out that after donating you qualify for a free pet adoption! At the moment I can't have pets where I live, so they gave me the option to return the voucher to the shelter so the fee can be waived for someone else. Plus I got a free fleece blanket!

That sounds fun and the blanket sounds very cool. I love that kind of stuff.
Just got back from my sister's hair salon with my color done. I told her I wasn't cutting my hair for a year and she looked at me like I was crazy. I'll get trims, I hate stringy, uneven hair, unless it's meant to look like that. When you color you hair, esp making it lighter, the hair isn't as strong and breaks so it can be hard to grow. My mom never let us have long hair when we were kids (control issues) and I've never really grown my hair out longish. I doubt it will even get too, too long. But I just want long hair right now! Either that or I want to shave it like Amanda!
I wish I had the nerve, plus she is so pretty, perfect teeth. Her house is pristine. I don't know how that happens with people caring for animals. Maybe she has a housekeeper or something. I'm watching her right now.
TTYL. Purps, glad Canine Christmas was fun. It makes me nostalgic for when my niece and nephews were young. I loved doing all that kid stuff with them. Now they are older and cooler and I just don't see any of them much. My niece got her own place with a roommate. I hope she's ok too. Haven't heard from her in ages.

They are awesome. I knew you'd like Tia. I love both of them too!
Actually, I was so tired, I fell asleep and missed it. So, luckily, I taped them just in case! I'm going to watch it this morning. I love the way they see and have seen the worst, yet every animal gets as much love and attention that they can. I'm so glad they had that show, I'm sure very special and I can't wait to watch it!
How was Christmas Canines? Sounds fun!

It was fun! Got to walk around and pet some doggies....Brought a couple donations to drop off....spent a lot of that time on the blood donation bus, but it was worth it. Glad I'm able to give my free adoption over to someone else. It's still going on today ~ there's a black lab mix named "Shadow" who's been in the spotlight trying to find a home since she's been at the shelter for over 400 days.....hopefully today will be her day!

I'll say a little prayer for Shadow. It makes me sad when they are there so long, but maybe this is her weekend!
Glad it was fun. I think I'm following you on Twitter. Thx for making it easy. ♥♥♥

Awesome! Thanks for all the X-mas gift ideas!
I have my laundry shift at ARF tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I'll have a story for ya! Lol! I only do the Thrift store every other week, otherwise it kind of feels like too much.
How are you, my lovebug? I hope you are well. Gosh you've been here for a while now and I think you're the best. I guess it's the two of us, hopefully least, keeping this great thread alive right now.
Have a great day! ♥♥♥

Hope your shift at ARF went well, Aly ~ I enjoy seeing all the cute animals for adoption on Twitter

Saw a preview of Amanda's new episode tonight.....about the progress on little Everly, the poor girl rescued from a puppy mill.....I still can't believe it's run by a veterinarian and she was in such horrible shape! I started following her friends from Bailing Out Benji which is another organization similar to Harley's Dream, to educate and spread awareness about puppy mills.

I'm going to have to follow Amanda too. I finally saw the show where she pick up Bean and thanks for the reminder, they are going to show the one I missed and that poor Frenchie I saw you post on Twitter about.
My shift about broke my back last night! It was really busy. I think they're getting ready for thanksgiving week. I volunteered for Wed and Fri next week. I figured it's got to be better than hanging with my family!
I'm so glad were friends. You always have smart things to say and I love your humor! Did you say that puppy mill was run by a vet! He/she should be shot. What kind of a degenerate vet (healer) would even do something like that?
With that, have a great day to a great girl! Love ya! ♥♥♥

Wow Aly, so nice of you to sign up for the holiday....don't hurt yourself!

Yeah Animal Planet will tweet out clips from the shows ~ Amanda isn't very active on Twitter, but she has two accounts on Instagram and posts much more on there....she's recently been giving round the clock treatment to a newborn puppy

Oh no! I can barely understand twitter. It sounds like I'm going to have to sign up on Instagram too. It is kind of fun to see things happen quickly.
If I change my name, which I should, I will let you know.
Some people, like Tia and Amanda, where do they get the energy? I love those two girls!
I've been experimenting with going off gabapentin and I am sure that's why I was almost crippled last night, plus it was a heavy night. So I'm going to have to go back to a large does. I hate the side effects, but if if keeps me able to be active and do things, I have to take it. I'm not ready to walk hunched over or grey hair!! No way.
Love you to bits!!! On to figure out Instagram so I can see what Amanda is doing! ♥♥♥

Hopefully they'll show a rerun next week!
I finally got watched the whole Tia/Amanda episodes. How awesome! To quote you, those chicks rock!! ♥
Have a great day, Purps. You are so funny and clever and I really appreciate your friendship!
