Hope you find something that makes you more comfortable Aly ~ the zoo sounds like fun too! Paws crossed that it'll all work out.

Thank you, Purps. I'm going to keep doing my laundry shift for a while, while I'm working on getting into the zoo or to Lindsey's Wildlife Museum. They both would be something I haven't done and have wanted too.
We'll see how it goes, my favorite manager is switching to Ben's dept, where I want to be!!!
You are such a dear friend. Thank you!

Being a Zookeeper would be a wonderful profession. Aly, if you left Arf would you be able to come back if things didn't work out elsewhere? I know it's hard to cut ties entirely with a place you've mostly enjoyed.

Purps - Sounds like a fun day. Lucky animals having you to care for them.

Least - Hard to believe it's 18 mos. already.

Thank you so much for thinking of that Hev. It just crossed my mind too and I plan on showing up to my shifts, etc, except i won't come early or stay late anymore. They are getting used to me finishing all that laundry in a much longer than usual shift. I used to come in at least a half hour early and at least a half hour late, or until my back gave out. From now on it's my shift and that's it. I have to set boundaries too.
I'm not going to say much to anyone and I am going to start talking to my supervisor, even if she tries to hide from me. The more someone hides from me, given the circumstances, but a work thing, I'll usually seek her out. I'll be super nice and when I give her my notice, I will give a 2 week notice and be very professional, so there is nothing she can say about me I'll ask about coming back. I don't know. Even the email i sent to her, I reread, is very nice and professional, with a few comments with me telling it like it was.
I really don't get the hiding from me and avoiding me. Lol. It's so weird. I've never had a supervisor act like that to me. When I was supervising, I was always chasing someone down. But I cared about people. Hopefully she can get out of her ego.
Let Go, Let God

That's awesome of you Purps!!! We used to have a great theatre in the town over and they showed films that weren't shown much and I loved it. Then they shut it down. In this white bread county (sort of) they don't show anything interesting at all anymore. You have to go to SF to see anything different and even there, it's not much. You'd think SF would be a little more with it!
Keep at it, girlfriend! ♥♥♥

Here's my triumvirate - Nikko, Jack, and Riley. (left to right) They all got along perfectly and were well behaved and sweet.

Nikko and Jack were both Shiba Inu's and Riley was a Beagle. We were told by the Humane Society where we got her that she was a 'beagle mix' but the vet said she was all beagle, from what he could tell.

Love yours too Purps. Very appropriate and funny. We are on Shelter in Place as of midnight last night. I'm doing my laundry and going to a doctor's appt Thurs. I guess they let you do necessary things. I hope they don't pull people over for driving around. Lol.
Have a great day dog lovers. Hev, I hope your computer is on the mend. I miss you when you can't post. ♥♥♥

Hope that goes okay for you Aly....must be strange!

Well, the kitty training class for Saturday has been canceled....no surprise but I've been looking forward to it. We can still sign up for dog walking but there's a limited number of volunteers allowed on site for each shift.

Smile Great news!!

The old dog I called the police about has been adopted! His new family came to get him today and the shelter worker sent me a picture of him with his new family. I am so thankful that he'll have a good life now.

They named him Chance at the shelter and I'm glad he's gotten his chance at a good life.

Here he is with his new family.

Good news least! Great news, esp for an elderly boy. Thank God you called and what a blessing he has a new home. I am through the roof!! So grateful for the good people in this world. He might be the kind of dog I might take these days. I feel so for the seniors so what a lift that he got what looks like nice people to care for him!
Chance, what a great name. Lovebug.♥
Thank you for sharing that. It made my day, and right now, I needed that! ♥♥♥

I've been in a good mood since I got the news. I love the senior dogs. They are often overlooked but I love adopting older dogs to give them a good life in their golden years.

I was so excited about it that I gave Billie a biscuit to celebrate!

I asked the shelter to give my name and email address to the family that adopted Chance. I just got an email from the guy that Chance went for a walk with them when they got home and he sent me a picture of Chance sacked out on the bed.

I am still feeling elated that he got a good home.

That is SO awesome Least! Thanks so much for speaking up for him and updating us with the picture....Chance is so cute!

Our local Humane Society has begun waiving adoption fees until further notice, in hopes to clear the shelter.

I love that show. I think I've probably seen almost all of them. The kitten ones are pretty cute and baby goats, all the animals. I love the one with the Neapolitan Mastiffs. In their way, they are such a noble, ancient breed. They are drooly, but I love them. I'd probably never get one, I doubt they show up in rescue often, but who knows?? I hope where ever I end up after my mom goes that I can have a dog. I'm really leaning toward Tallahassee. I did love that town/city. To me, it was a small town and I'd never lived in one before and I couldn't believe how much I loved it. I'll be alone, so a college campus and the state capital has a lot going on. I used to have a good friend who lived in Clearwater, but we fell out. I've been all over Fl with different friends. I wish I could live in Key West, if it's how I remember. Gosh I used to love it there. It was a long time ago, but I always loved it. Things are so much cheaper than what I am used to. We'll see, but when I think about it, I feel good and it feels really good thinking about being away from my sisters and not hearing their drama. I'll miss my niece and nephews a lot. They are at that time in life that they are spreading their wings and learning to be adults. I wish I could take my oldest nephew with me, but I don't think he'd go. I'm not sure what he'd do for work down there. I don't think the pay is all that great there unless you have a skill. He knows how to pull up and lay carpets and flooring. I love that kid and I know he's struggling.
Sorry. Gosh. Blah...
Grateful for my niece and nephews.
Grateful for all of you so very much. Love and peace to you all. ♥♥♥
