Thank you, Hevyn! We've had a couple of close calls, luckily they didn't turn the power off. Seems as if fires are all around us and my heart breaks for some of these families who've lost their houses and who knows what else.
Prayers and love to the fire victims and the Cal-Firefighters, volunteers, inmates, anyone who is actually choosing to help is a real hero to me anyway. That whole group of Cal-Fire, volunteers. and inmates who choose to help, thank you.♥♥♥

How scary and unimaginable Aly.....Stay safe out there!

I saw this article online about how VCA hospitals are offering help:

VCA Animal Hospitals in California Offer Free Boarding for Pets Displaced by Wildfires

October 28, 2019 06:05 PM Eastern Daylight Time

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VCA Animal Hospitals is offering free boarding assistance at hospitals throughout California for pets that have been displaced by wildfires across the state. As of Monday afternoon, more than a dozen fires are burning in California. The Getty Fire in Los Angeles and the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County have already forced thousands of families from their homes.

“In catastrophic emergencies, VCA is here to help pet owners quickly find a safe and comfortable space, and know their pets are well cared for,” said Dr. Todd Lavender, President, VCA Animal Hospitals and Petcare Services. “With multiple fires burning across the state, all VCA hospitals in California are extending free boarding so families can focus on the emergency.”

Boarding assistance is offered on a space-available basis to victims of the wildfires at all California hospitals. To locate a nearby VCA hospital, enter your zip code here.

Due to the extent of the evacuation orders and impacts, boarding availability may be limited at some VCA facilities. Families are strongly encouraged to call ahead and confirm that space is available.

VCA is closely monitoring the wildfires across the state and its impact on pet families. Follow VCA Animal Hospitals on Facebook for breaking wildfire news as it happens.

That is awesome Purps. That is the vet we bring Luke to. That is really cool that they're doing that. All the way around these disasters are so, so hard on us. Living with the drama, created by the fires is getting stressful.
We are all safe physically, mentally, well...
I have my thrift store shift this morning. I haven't been there in a while so I'm a little nervous. I don't know why. It's is kind of a tight knit group of sort of wealthy housewives, whose children have grown and gone on. I am unmarried, no children or grandchildren, a bit younger than most, but they are quite nice to me. So, I hope all goes well.
Have a great day, dog lovers. ♥♥♥

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

I went with my sister and her kids Trick-or-Treating and brought along some of my "Take a bite out of puppy mills" stickers that I got from Harley's Dream ~ (not sure if I mentioned that here, but they are cute, with Teddy dressed as a vampire) but anyway, the neighborhood we walked through had people set up outside their homes instead of going door to door, so I gave stickers to the ones who had dogs with them

I still have some left if anyone would like a few

Just sitting here watching Billie sleep.

That's so kind of the VCA animal hospitals to offer free boarding to pets displaced by the fires. There are good people in the world, they're just not heard from as much as the trouble-makers.

Amen, least.
Purps, I watched a couple of episodes of Amanda and tried to stay awake for Pit Bulls. Was that little one eyed Rott puppy about the cutest thing you've ever seen? What a cute bouncy bundle of happiness!
Thanks for the reminder! Check out Dr. Jeff some time if you can. He does a lot of work helping non profits and he hates puppy mills, does rescues. It's so nice to know that there are some awesome people out there.
Have a great day dog lovers. ♥♥♥

That is my favorite episode I've ever seen of Too Cute!!! I love Neapolitan Mastiffs! They are really good guard dogs. To me, there is something very noble about that ancient breed.
I get that show super early in the morning, so if I wake up too early, it takes your mind off things when you see all that adorableness!

Billie is doing her third favorite sport - sleeping. (first is eating, second is walking/sniffing) She surprised me with a Lawrence Welk when I took her out a while ago. (a Lawrence Welk is when she does "a one and a two")

I can't watch any of those shows cause I don't have television. Haven't had it since '98. I'm used to being without it, but rely on my computer more than I ever did with a TV.

My daughter has two Great Danes. She's always liked the breed and always said she'd have Danes someday. Well, now she's married and has a family and has her Danes!

You know it does seem that the people that have them and realistically know what they have to deal with, just love them. It's good they have two. I have read that GDs can be prone to separation anxiety. I've been reading all about that.
That's always nice to hear!♥

They've got another dog too, a mixed breed smaller dog. They all get along well and my daughter has trained them to do tricks.
