We have little brown 'peepers' that hang out in the garden. I'm always afraid I'll step on one.

We don't have any frogs around here that I know of. The nearest stream is a mile away.

Billie and I are having a lazy day here.

Least, I got peepers all over the front and back porch and the other day to my horror I saw a toad with one in it's mouth.

Suki, I'm so glad you have an appt next Tuesday with your PCP or substitute PCP!! Gentle hugs to you as you navigate these appointments, we love you !

Mags, Prayers for Mr. M .

Hev, Prayers that your symptoms abate and test results are sooner rather than later.

Opi, Any test results yet..and OMG on the car test results....sorry I asked - LOL !!

Ann, Cheers to a nice week end filled with adorable green frogs and loads of nature and feeling well without the evil medicine.

least, I hope your big toe is better and you and Billie enjoyed your lazy day.

DB, You sure keep busy

Love to all the whiners. Mr. P fired the contractor for the retaining wall and fencing....he and his crew show up when they feel like it. Customer service is poor in our country

Fed Billie and then took her for a productive walk.

Pondy, Mr P was right to fire the crew that didn't show up. I don't know what's happened to customer service.

You did good, Suki!

So happy you're going to be seen Tuesday.

Pondy, I do have strep throat. The x-ray showed I have some water on my lungs. The bloodwork shows I'm anemic and confirms an infection. I really am feeling a bit better so the medications seem to be working. Thank you for asking.

I'm glad Mr.P fired the contractor. Hopefully, you can find someone reliable to finish the job.

Ann, please tell Bubba ...

Love to everyone.

Pondy - Did you find someone else to do the work? How aggravating.

Opi - I'm so happy you're feeling better.

Opi, glad your car got the all clear. Sorry you have strep throat. We whiners all seem to be sick lately.

Billie is lying on the rug quietly. Resting and digesting. When I look at her she looks back at me. I love her big brown dog eyes and her little brown eyebrows.

Suki, thank goodness you got an appointment.

Opi, hope the medication works well.

The Whiny Warriors are kicking sickness to the curb.

Pondy, it's no better in Canada. I am glad Mr. P fired them.

I am heading to bed. I think I will take Bubba out for his birthday tomorrow. . Gift is wrapped and card ready.

Nighters dear whiny ones.

Clearly not the same song as the Billie Holiday one, but the Thread title has had me thinking of this song by the Bee Gees - Robin's voice is sublime - and he was barely 20 here:

Caramel, I don't remember that song, and I was a Bee Gees fan back in the day. His voice was wonderful. I remember the Bee Gees when they began.

Billie really is starting to 'tell' me when she has to go out. She comes over to me and looks at me. As if to say, I need to go potty. She is stubborn, but very smart.

Lily is upstairs visiting me and Billie. She is such an outgoing friendly cat. I know she misses Freddie and Jack. They were her buddies, both of them. She talks a lot when she visits. I wish I understood 'cat'.

I love Robin's voice. I much prefer their earlier music to the disco stuff.

Suki, that’s fantastic news love.

Opi, I’m glad the meds are working , take care though until it’s all cleared up.

Caramel, that’s a beautiful song. Thank you

Least I love Tom and Jerry, grew up with them.

Pondy, good for you! I’m pleased Mr.P fired the workers. Can’t seem to find reliable ones nowadays.

Hev, the peepers are so small, I had to look them up , I’ve not heard of them before.

Nef, naughty toad. He must think your garden is wonderful, all that food for him!

Love to all xx

Oh my, I mustn't go on!
But this was absolutely electrifying to hear for the first time in 1966, on an overseas radio station, late at night on a radio under the bedclothes!
Robin and Maurice were sixteen when this song came out - they were born December 22, 1949.
