Least - I didn't know the name of that piece. Adorable kitty pics!
(I suppose it's too early for 'Sleigh Ride')

Hev, yeah, it's a bit early for Sleigh Ride.

Leroy Anderson was a prolific composer. He also knew quite a few languages. Very smart guy. Did you ever hear his Typewriter song? It's pretty neat.

Least, my progress was praised by the student counsellor, not my art. No doubt I am creative and have an eye for colour- but I am crap at drawing objects/still life, models...

PJ, you might think you're crap at drawing objects, etc, but you have talent I don't have for art.

Hev, I also wish I had been clever and creative but don't want to berate myself for the flaws of my youth. I didn't make too many plans for my golden years and I regret my lack of forethought. Hindsight is always 20/20 vision...

Next week I have to renew my drivers license. Since I had the cataracts removed, I can pass the vision test without my glasses.

Opi, sending you a hug along with your doctor visit to cure your poison oak.

Chic, will your cats let you sleep in? Can you leave them some dry food in their dish so they don't wake you up to feed them? I'm just used to my cats always having dry food out for them.

Billie has been quiet tonight. Sleeping since after our after supper walk. Even Lily's meowing didn't rouse her.

Doing anything special during your vacation? I know you'll have your g.son over to visit.

Least, my cats are so spoiled, that they wake me for their wet food, each morning, starting at 430am, later if I am lucky. they always have dry food out. they might even just eat a few bites, but heaven forbid they don't get that special treatment!

roxie is insistant. she will throw herself at my door, even if its open, she will bump it to wake me. Princess that she is.

Good morning Whiners, I miss a couple of days and now there are soooo many posts to catch up on It will take me some time to read them all.
I'm on cat duty this week for my daughter, she's gone on holiday with her lovely little family, I hope the weather is kind to them after all the rain we had last week. The sun is shining this morning so that's a good start.

Mags, your hair sounds lovely and from all the comments about it, I'm guessing it's stunning.

Least, I've had a lot of pleasure from listening to all your music clips this last week or so, thank you. I love ginger kitties too, they're my favourite.
I'm happy for you that your cataract op has made such a difference, that's good.

P.J from what bits of your paintings and drawings I've seen you've obviously ( it is to me anyway) got a talent. The best I can do is paint rocks and pebbles ( one of my little hobbies.)

Opi, I hope you are much better now and itch free.

Chicory, enjoy your vacation and I hope you get the cooler weather, I only wish I could send you some of ours. I wish I didn't have to wear glasses too, I have to wear a pair for reading and a different pair for distance, such a nuisance because they are on and off all the time and I'm always misplacing them.

Ann, I think you definitely made the right move in changing your hotel, the one you've picked sounds perfect.

I'm off now to go and do my cat duties. Back later. I hope you all have an amazing Sunday. Love to each and every one of you. xx

Hiya Whiners

Phew I’m here, worn out, we was only out about 5 hours but it’s certsinly tiring when not used to it.

Ann, so pleased you changed your hotel. I think we all picked up on your concern over it. And wow that there are eagles residing in a tree there. So looking forward to any photos you may take. Quite right to be excited now! (I like tablecloths too!)

Hev, least, I am not one bit creative. I love to see it but just have t got what it takes!

Suze, the day dress was a black with whit spots, I think it would be called a shift dress. But I ended up going in the dressy dress. I got used to it though.

Chic, have a good holiday love. xx

I managed to buy some hair jewellery and it looked quite nice. In fact I’m gonna try to post a pic here so you can see what I was wittering about. Lol.

Love to all. xx

First pic when I’d just had hair done. Second one after a night’s sleep on it. It had dropped a bit.

Mags, the hair is beauuuutiful, and so are you. It's just lovely the way you adorned it and the colour is gorgeous.

Least, I love dancing cats. Chic, I can only imagine kitty thinking of how to knock down your door.

Off to church this morning. I have a lot to be grateful for.

Hugs to everyone, back later.

For a new title....how about Whining A Summer Song? Okay, maybe not such a hot name but I LOVE this oldie by Chad and Jeremy!!
