Just checking in quickly between checks with a very special whine...the "new" anti-nausea medication doesn't work.

I will get something good before I leave this place or leave my "special offering" at the nurse's station.

Asking for prayers for Oksis. Her hubby took both their cars out of state in separate trips, and the last time, he flipped out and ended up in jail. She's freaking out over it and doesn't know what to do now. She says she's going to divorce him but she's said that many times before and never followed thru on it.

PJ - I was just thinking that our sauna pants hadn't been mentioned in a while, & here they are.
Apparently, they're still available from Amazon. No choice of color though.

Least - 9 mos. for Jack & 6 mos. for Jackpot.
Praying for Oksis to make the right decision. It's so hard.

Suki - Relieved to hear you're feeling somewhat better.

Ann - I'm thankful your humor is intact - but that's just not fair. Prayers for a solution! Enough already.

Daisy - New York weather is often similar to yours. Today we're warm & sunny. I wear 2 different outfits every day - start out in warm stuff & then have to change.

Mags - I hope you get helpful results from the scan tomorrow.

I'm so glad your pain has eased Suki. Look after yourself.

Ann, I'm so sorry that the anti nausea medication didn't work, what a nuisance, I hope they can offer you something else. You take care. xx

That all sounds very worrying Least, I'll certainly remember Oksis in my prayers. xx

Hevyn I should have known that really, I have a cousin living in N.Y, 2 outfits per day? So glad I don't do your washing. xx

Goodnight all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Billie broke her perfect streak and peed on the rug just now. I took her for a walk but she had already peed and didn't go outside. I am disappointed cause she was doing so well.

Tolerable is better than none, Suki- I find the same with brufen for burns pain, no codeine for obvious reasons for me.

We have a new weapon of mass destruction, Opi and the weedwhacker are a fearful combination.

Just a drive by, I am pooped but the day went well. I got new nausea pills that should work (I tried them today with my meds), they aren't perfect but it's 80% better. Bubba went out and picked up a nice lunch for me...egg salad on freshly baked pumperknickle, a fresh fruit bowl and "peaches and cream" that was to die for. The custard cream was perfect and the peaches were perfect. I had to wait 2 hours after my pills but by then I was hungry and ate every bite...no nausea.

I now have 5 days straight off to enjoy and sleep and rest up for next week, after that it's every 2 weeks a couple of times and then once every 8 weeks. I can do this and it's worth it if I can keep the nausea at bay.

Hugs out to everyone, no more all about me, tomorrow I am back to normal, I promise. I cannot wait to hit my bed and get some quality sleep with no alarm set.

Love you all.

P.S. Shame on me, I didn't thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Ann, My go to for really bad nausea is phenegren ( sp?) of compazine ( sp?) suppositories. I used to keep some in our refrigerator when the girls were little, to have on hand in times of need. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your nice meal without nausea. Sweet Dreams

Suki, Gabapentin is a good drug and I'm glad it's giving you some relieve. I used it for a long time for an off label use, but no longer need it.

Poor Billie, I guess she just had to go and was distracted when she was out earlier.

Miss. Pondy #1 ( Lamp) had her two week post op appt today with her surgeon. Everything is good and he was pleased with her progress. She has no activity or weight lifting restrictions and can resume taking baths or go swimming.

We ended up buying a blender on line after the blood pressure incident in Costco and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. Phase II of her diet is simple and soft foods, with a focus on protein. The nutritionist had a family emergency and left the office today, we we meet with her tomorrow.

I fly home on Friday. Mr. P said some plants I've ordered have arrived, plus he bought others......so I'm itching to garden I know we're very close to the pool excavation, but imagine it's weather dependent to some extent.

P.S. My avatar picture is the type of plant I ordered. It's a flowering vine and hummingbirds love it.

Pondy - That's wonderful news about the post-op exam.
Gardening is something fun to look forward to - plus, GiGi.
Your avie looks like Trumpet Honeysuckle - it should smell heavenly.

Against Opi's weed whacker, you'll need the steel toed bunny slippers.

Billie ate all her supper. I pray she's back to normal now. I took her out a bit before supper and she peed, so she knows what she's supposed to do. She just doesn't really tell me she has to go out. Jack always went in the big room outside the den and barked a few times. In his last year, he didn't do that anymore. I think he forgot.

It's raining!! We are having T storms tomorrow and rain tonight. I am sick of this rain!!!

Ann, glad the new anti nausea pills are doing the job. It will be nice when it's only every eight weeks.

Working on a brand new bag of dark chocolate M and Ms. I never tire of dark chocolate. When mom was new at the Place, I was invited to a short seminar on the benefits of dark chocolate. We got some good samples. I know European chocolate is better than American. They do something in the process of making it that makes it better. But good ol' M and Ms will do for me.

Pondy, is that Trumpet Vine? I planted nine of those years ago and it's now taken over the garden fence. Blooms most of the summer, and the hummers love it.

Ann, I'll keep the weed whacker battery charged ... just in case.
Hope you rest well tonight. Bubba is an awesome hubby ... just sayin.

Pondy, good to hear Lamp is doing better. I love that plant ... I want a few. The color is so pretty!

My whine... FROGS, they gross me out. A humungous one hopped right next to my foot today. Scared me so bad, I wound up in the clippings from the rose bush! My arms and legs look like a vicious cat attack.

Now, I have long red scratches along with poison ivy and bloody ankles ... I'll never get a pool boy at this rate!

Opi, I once stepped on a large slug. Felt like stepping on a snake. Freaked me right out.

Sorry you fell and got scratched up. You are the walking wounded.

Still raining. Just took Billie out and, bless her heart, she peed in the rain. I gave her a biscuit when we came in.

Did I mention that I'm sick of rain!!!

I don't know how she's doing. Haven't heard from her in several hours.

Time to snuggle with Billie under the blanket. My favorite time of day.
