Hi Whiners

Brilliant pics Ann and suki. :)

Ann hope the bone jab went ok.

Itís been raining all day on and off, dull as dishwater too! Had a really lazy day, reading and now Iím going to have some Haagen Dazs vanilla ice-cream. :)

Hope itís better weather where you are, dear Whiners , love to you all xx

least 06-11-2019 12:16 PM

Just changed the litter in the cat boxes. That's my big job on Tuesdays. Not raining here today, thank goodness. :)

Hevyn 06-11-2019 12:56 PM

Thanks again, everyone. I agree - we are lucky to have found each other. :yup:

Mags - I hope MrM's back will be ok.

Least - I hate when driving's a white knuckle event. I've driven all over the place, in plenty of stressful situations, but these days I'm just not up for it.

PJ - I was just thinking we haven't seen you in a while. :)

Ann - Saw part of that game - couldn't believe it.

Suki - Poor baby carrots will be traumatized.

least 06-11-2019 04:36 PM

Bro came to visit and put the trash out to the curb. When he left I took Billie for a walk and she did a LW. :)

Hev, I don't mind driving much except I don't like driving at highway speed. :dee It scares me and makes me nervous. I am afraid of losing control of my car. :( And being on the road with some of these idiots... Almost had a wreck a while ago when a driver nearly pulled out of a side street in front of me! :dee I slammed on the brakes and so did she but it was a narrow miss.

Daisybelle 06-11-2019 05:43 PM

I hope your migraine has passed now P.J.

I hope your day in the city went well Ann, I love your cartoon pic, how very apt.

I never knew I could feel so sorry for a carrot Suki, lol.

Sleep well Mags, still raining here, it's been a really miserable day weather wise.

I bet you're glad that job's out of the way Least, cleaning the litter tray out after one cat is bad enough. Your brother is very kind to put your trash out for you. I know what you mean re driving at speed, it's terrifying, I hate it.

I don't enjoy driving one bit Hevyn, there's far too many impatient idiots on the roads these days.

I did well at the Opticians, my eyesight hasn't deteriorated in the last 2 years since I last had an eye test, so I don't need to spend a small fortune on glasses this time. Mr D.B has to have new ones though.
It's done nothing but rain, rain, rain today and tonight, it's still pouring down now. Apparently it's forecast to drop 3 months worth of rain over the next 3 days. Well that's something to look forward to .......not!

Pondlady 06-11-2019 06:18 PM

Suki, How are you feeling ?

Ann, How was your bone shot?

DB, Glad to see you back and hear that your holiday was wonderful.

Chic, I do like least suggests, "Remember Me" and don't have problems getting booted.

Hev, I agree with the others about you being kind, compassionate and you have a dry wit :)

PJ, Glad the head ache has subsided and you've rejoined the hooman race.

Mags, Hoping Mr. Mag's back is feeling better.

Opi, Thank you for the new thread with the catchy title.

least 06-11-2019 06:41 PM

Ann, hope the bone shot wasn't too painful.

Suki, have you gotten relief from the pain in your hands yet? Did you have to see your doctor?

Billie ate all her supper but was too distracted by the stray cat to go potty afterward. Lily is up here visiting me and Billie. :) Billie is usually nice to her altho sometimes she starts humping her and gets too rough. Lily runs off when Billie acts like that. She's a very forgiving cat and always forgives Billie when she acts like a jerk.

I don't know what's up with my neighbors next door. The guy who got busted with a lot of fentanyl. He might still be in jail as I haven't seen him at all. Just goes to show you how bad your life can get when you mess with Bad Stuff. :(

Hevyn 06-11-2019 06:57 PM

Pondy - Thank you.
How is our patient doing?

Daisy - We've had the strangest June here . Hot one day, cold & rainy the next. Tonight it's high winds, knocking all the hanging flower pots around.

Maudcat 06-11-2019 07:12 PM

Ditto on everything everyone has said about Hev and, indeed, all whiners.
Pretty awesome whines working here.
Opi, thanks for the new thread!
I went to visit my friend yesterday. She has a major green thumb, and was kind enough to separate some irises for me.
I attacked my overgrown rhododendron tonight. Whoever did the original planting did not know what they were doing.
The plants are too close to the house, and no one kept them trimmed, I donít think.
It started out rainy here, but cleared up nicely.
The pine pollen has been fierce, though. Neti pot tonight for sure!

Ann 06-11-2019 07:17 PM

I need to take time to read carefully and catch up here, sorry to be so busy and distracted.

Bone shot went well today, easy in and out and a good needle giver. We picked up roast chicken on the way home. Tomorrow is about a 3 hour follow up (test to be sure I am ok) for my drug. I am going to insist that they let me take it evenings, that would work so much better. Nausea stinks when you have to drive and move around, evening means I can take it easy and sip gingerale.

It was sunny and nice here today, too bad I spent much of it indoors.

Leaving at 5 am so I will see you all tomorrow evening some time.

Then we have 5 days to ourselves before it all begins again. Soon, very soon, it will be once every 8 weeks.

Love you all.

Hevyn 06-11-2019 07:19 PM

Thank you, Mcat. :)
Nice that your green thumb friend could help. I'm a disaster at dividing plants, even though I try to be careful.

Hevyn 06-11-2019 07:21 PM

Ann - Didn't see you there ;). I'm glad the shot went ok. It'll be lovely when it's every 8 wks. You've been so good about all this.

least 06-11-2019 09:06 PM

Ann, glad the bone shot went well. It will be good when it's every 8 weeks.

Maudcat, I used to have a sea of tulips in my back yard every spring. As the years went by they thinned out a lot and now hardly any come up.

Took Billie out a while ago and she finally did her business. :) A one and a two...:)

On Saturday it will be 9 months since Jack died. :( I still think of him every day and miss him terribly. I no longer look at the top of the stairs now but it's still a shock to not see him waiting for me there. :( I know I did the kindest thing for him, but damn, I miss him. :( Life isn't fair... If it were, dogs and cats would have longer lives and politicians would have short lifespans.

Pondy, when do you come home?

PhoenixJ 06-11-2019 09:39 PM

Your a warrior, Ann.

Just a little something to cheer the way

Mags1 06-11-2019 10:34 PM

Daisy 3 months of rain in a few days! it felt like we was having a lot! We did get the occasional peek from the sun but she seems to be on holiday at the moment!

Ann, be thinking of you today on your appointments I hope they give you a nice room to rest up , in.’s

Pondy, I hope lamp is doing ok, did you manage to get the blenders for her next stage of food. I think you had to rush home quickly last time.

PJ, my gosh, what will they think of next! I can’t think how it would do any good as it’s just covering the ‘nether’ regions! :)

Least, time flies quickly, it doesn’t see 9 months since Jack died, I wish they had a longer life too. We do know though that their lives with us was the best they could have had. I’m sure Kathy is looking after him for you.

Mr Mags still has the back problem. He hasn’t done a lot the last few days. We’re hoping the scan tomorrow will give us answers.

Though he was able to walk in the kitchen steadily and marinade some chicken for our dinner later. :)

Love to all the wise and wonderful Whiners xx

Daisybelle 06-12-2019 04:31 AM

Morning Whiners, I hope you're all good and well. Rain, rain and more rain this morning and it has been the same all through the night too. I overslept this morning, didn't even hear my alarm, that doesn't happen often thankfully, it's not the best start to the day, then the traffic was very heavy and very slow due to an accident somewhere, we just about made it to school before the bell went.

Thank you Pondlady, it's good to be back. I hope all is well with you.

I'm so glad that Billie is back to her old nosy self Least, she was such a worry the other week.
Your neighbours sound as dodgy as mine!
R.I.P Jack, you were a good mum to him and you did the kindest thing for him at the time he needed it most. You did what you had to do.

Hevyn, are you sure you don't live in the U.K? We can get all the seasons in one day here and it sounds pretty much the same for you.

I bet your Rhododendron looks better for being trimmed Maudcat, I think people buy them when they are tiny and don't check how big they'll grow. They are beautiful but they can get very big and bushy.

I'm glad your bone shot went well Ann, I'm just sorry that your suffering from nausea, that's no fun. Look after yourself and do as you're told, I hope it passes soon. Good luck for today, we'll all be thinking about you.

Goodness me P.J whatever next! What happens if you want to lose weight of your arms or upper body? The mind boggles.

We haven't had any peeks from the sun here in the North West Mags, nothing but rain and grey skies. It's cold too at 10c, I hate to admit this but I put my heating on last night for a couple of hours. I hope Mr Mags doesn't have too much back pain today.

Love to you all. xxx

More love to you and Bubba. Safe trip. See you tonight. s ♥♥

It took a few days, I guess for the extra Gabapentin to settle into my system, but taking three at a time has helped the pain in my hands. Not 100%, but to a tolerable level.

least 06-12-2019 09:46 AM

Suki, I'm glad it's helped.

Mags1 06-12-2019 10:00 AM

Suki, Iím pleased to its helped your pain. :hug:ís
