How loud did you scream? If you lost sight of it, you may have to move.

Hev, I could think of dozens of nice things to say about you, you are truly one of the kindest, sweetest, funniest, brightest people I have known. And you don't kill plants and flowers. I think my yellow begonias are on their way out, I just cannot for the life of me hang on to yellow begonias.

Least, I hope it cleared up enough to get a walk in with Billie. It rained all day here too. You are best mama to all your kitties and Billie and the strays too. Kindness is a huge gift.

Suki, I hope you got some relief today, it's awful that you have had to suffer so long.

Chic, I hope your first day back wasn't too hectic...and that they didn't leave work from when you were away.

PJ, hope your toothache has subsided, check in an say "hey".

Venus, I could use your green thumb (a true gift), my patio is just wilting except for the portulaca. It's been an odd year, cooler and rainier than usual. I don't even water because the rain has kept them moist.

Mags, retirement means the days blur together, I have to check almost every day.

Opi, I don't know how you keep up everywhere here. You are amazingly organized and a wonderful whiner who brings us new threads and flowers. Hope all is well with you.

When we got back from the mall I napped for 3 hours!! I knew I was tired but 3 hours is a lot of nap. Tomorrow is bone shot day, not too early. I don't mind because it's only every 3 months and we missed the last one. It just keeps my bones strong while taking meds. Thursday is follow up day and I could be 4 hours or so getting checked, but nothing awful, so I hope I get that nice room again and can relax between tests.

Even in the rain, the mallards are on my patio eating their bedtime snack. I think they like the rainwater.

Suki, did you get in to see your doctor today? I hope you got some relief.

Ann, yes we got a walk in after the rain stopped. It's supposed to rain again this evening too. Bro is frustrated that we can't dry out from all the recent rain cause it keeps raining!

Good evening Whiners, thought it was about time I checked in again now I'm back from my holiday. I hope you're all well and in good whining form. I enjoyed my holiday for the most part, it was hard work at times with my 85 yr old mum and 9 yr old g.son, but we made it. I had a bit of moment on the second day there, we went back to the room late afternoon to shower and get ready for dinner and discovered a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and 2 glasses had been left for us. Eek! Don't know why, I can only presume it was because we had stayed at the hotel the year before. Anyway, it was quickly re-gifted.

Opi,I'm loving the title of the new thread.

I hope Monday was kind to you Chicory.

Hello lovely Venuscat and thank you. xx

Mags, it was sunny here all day and warm, but then it started raining this evening. I got 2 wash loads dry anyway.

Ha ha Hevyn, fancy finding a spider in your p.j's, I'd do the same as you and probably put it out of the window, I'm not scared of spiders.

Least, I'm glad you managed to get out for a walk with Billie, I hope the rain stays away for you.

You must have needed that nap Ann to sleep for 3 hours, it will have done you good. I hope your bone shots go well tomorrow.

Suki, I hope you are feeling very much better, take good care of yourself. xx

Hevyn, I agree with Ann, you are such a lovely person. I can just tell xx

I'm off to bed now, so goodnight all, sleep well. xxx

Welcome home, Daisy. I am glad you had a good time and glad you could happily regift the champagne.

Rest up, vacations can wear you out. It's good to have you back.

Welcome back Daisy! Glad you had a good time.

Ann, did Bubba get his haircut?

Billie ate all her supper tonight. She seems to be back with her good appetite. That makes me very happy.

I just looked at the weather where ck lives in CA. It was 104 F today!! They have a/c in the house and I'm sure they turned it on for the cats and dog while they were at work.

Thank you again, my friends. Not sure what I'd do without the acceptance & understanding I've found here.

Ann - I just heard a rousing rendition of 'O Canada' - the fans are fired up! Good luck, Raptors.

Least - MrH was dead to the world, so the handling of the spider was up to me. It was ok because I jumped out of bed & shook my leg & spider fell out - I then escorted him out the window (in a tissue).
Ann's right - if I hadn't found him, we would've had to move.
104 for ck - how awful.

How was work today? I hope they didn't leave you with too much of a mess.

It's challenging to get to know each other really well via our posts, but I think we do a very good job.

Opi - Just as I was falling asleep last night I remembered you asked for title suggestions. Oops. I love what you chose.

There was a large spider in the bathroom when I was getting ready for bed. I intended to flush it, or preferably put it out the window - but lost sight of it. I got in bed, & 5 mins. later - there was the spider, in bed with me - must've hitched a ride in my jammies.
See....funny.

And look...everyone wants to cuddle with you....bears, spiders......

Let's face it....we are blessed beyond belief to have each other in this thread: the level of real is off the charts.
Aren't we lucky?

I've told my shrink about whiners. How we whine about all things and give each their due. I've told him about SR and he told me he's recommended it to some of his patients. I hope those he told about it found help here. I know I did.

I love the cat-rooftop-moon gif.

Almost forgot my whine! While idling in the left turn lane, a driver in the right lane tried to come left, nearly broadsiding me! I laid on the horn and he quickly corrected. I am so sick of drivers who do stupid things that could be dangerous.

Hiya wonderful Whiners

Hev, oh I don’t mind spiders in the home but not in bed! I’m pleased you managed to get it put outside.

Least, Pleased the rain stopped eventually and you and Billie had a walk.

Ann, be thinking of you when you have your bone shot. ’s.

I have a tablet, once a week and I have to sit or stand for half hour in one place, and drink only water with it, this is to help my bones because of the steroids I take, because besides putting weight on me, they destroy my bones too! But the steroids help me breathe so that is a major bonus,

Suki I hope the extra meds are helping you love xx

Daisy, so happy to see you back from your holidays, it sounds like you hit the ground running when you got home! Two loads of washing, ( I was thinking of all that ironing too!) and all that sun has given you lots of energy and vitamin D.

Least, 104F, that’s hot! I’d melt in that heat ck has, I’m pleased they have air con. I’d probably leave it on for my cats too. I hope it doesn’t get too hot where you are for you you and Billie and kitties. ’s

Hev, you were one of the first people I saw on SR. I noticed your peace and serenity and kindness. I always looked out for you. Thanks for being there.

Chic, sorry you lost your post!

Suze I love the cats and moon pic, it’s gorgeous.

Least there’s a lot of idiots on the road! Makes you wonder if they’re under the influence sometimes! Beware of the ‘well-oiled nut behind the wheel’

Mr.Mags was suffering with his back yesterday, more than normal. I gave him a cushion I have but don’t use, it has sides to support you. I bought it when I first got asthma as I couldn’t lay down, but it didn’t suit. I now sleep with a wedge and two pillows. Anyway, he’s got an mri scan this Thursday so hopefully he’ll find out what the cause is. I need him fit or we’ll be two old cronies leaning on each other!

Take care my lovely whining friends

Good morning all, I'm just back from doing the school run and the mum run, Mr D.B and myself are going for eye tests this morning, I don't think mine have changed since the last one but Mr D.B's have. I'm fine apart from I can't see very well when I'm driving in the dark, so I avoid doing it.
It's bounced down with rain all night and it's still the same now, dark and grey too, I think it's going to be the same all day.

Thank you Ann, it's good to be back, I could do with another holiday now to get over that one.

Thank you Least and I'm so glad that Billie has her appetite back, such a relief.

I feel the same Hevyn, S.R has been my salvation.

I'm always, always losing posts Chicory, it's so frustrating.

Least , thanks for that advice about 'remember me', I've never done that, I must try it out. What a good idea to tell your shrink about this place, I love to think that it may help someone else the way it's helped me.

We are very blessed Venus, that is so true, we are the lucky ones.

Morning Mags, by the weekend I'll feel as though I've never been away, it will be the same old, same old. I hope Mr Mag's back is better today, back pain
is so debilitating.

Idiot drivers, tell me about them, honestly so many drivers have no sense and no patience.

Got to dash, love to you all. Back later. xxxx

Just to clarify- I had a migraine aura for a few days, that was like a toothache from hell- not an actual toothache. And it has mostly gone. My trashed old bod has a very tenuous balance, and the aura tipped the scales, where most of me (except my teeth) ached a lot. Very tiring. BUT rejoined the humans today.

I stayed up to watch the Raptors in the NBA finals, if they had won last night they would be the Champions for the first time ever....they lost by ONE point. One stinky point. They are still ahead and have another two games coming up and they only need to win one of them to win the trophy. So I went to bed about midnight and woke up at 4:30 am instead of 6, with my alarm.

Off to get ready to head to the city and will be back later today to catch up and post.

Love you all!! Hey look, we got our own maze number...
