My nephew has Asperger's. He is almost 29 (in 3 days) and has a double degree in engineering and design, and a FANTASTIC job, and is engaged to a lovely woman.
It was tough for him growing up, and if anything like THAT had happened at school Daisy love, my sister would have torn down a building due to rage.

I am so very sorry that sweet boy had to endure such horrendous bullying. I hope the other boy was suspended for a week.

Makes me so sad....sorry..... s

My world is BEAUTIFUL dear Ann, gorgeous flowers everywhere I look. I must take some photos today....I was so tired yesterday I could barely stand up. All rested today.

You know I am thinking of you and Billie dear least. xx

And Mags honey, doesn't your doctor think that the headaches are because of the high blood pressure? Surely they are. Nick had awful headaches before his meds were right and his BP was way too high.....my mum too.....

Gosh I hope you feel better soon love. xx

And hello darling chic and Hev and Maud and Kim and Caramel and Opi and Anna and I have forgotten people. s

Suze, thanks yeah it’s one or the other she thinks, blood pressure raised because of virus and headache or vice versa! I’ve got a follow up appointment next week. I’m hoping to be back to normal by then.

I think I've got a low grade UTI. I found some antibiotics in the medicine cabinet and started taking them. Off to the store to get more yogurt and some cranberry juice.

Oh my , least... when it rains... feel better soon, sweetie.

I went to Meijers and got a scratch and dent plant tickseed ( coreopsis) good for butterflies. I also got a small pack of ageratum,, my son loves the blue flowers, though he won't admit it. He has helped me plant , mulch, and paint and grout around here lately. Its so nice to come home to clean house. I will miss that when he gets another job. I think he'd make a great handy man, although he could build a computer from the ground up. He loves fixing things.

I am so sleepy today. My restless legs kept me awake for a long time last night. I hear you , Pondy...
called the vein doctor and told him that I don't want to wait , on getting my veins fixed. I went to him because I am in too much pain from them, to sleep most nights. Have an appt in a few weeks He thought they weren't so bad, from ultrasound results, and should wait as long as possible to do it, because they often get bad again after some years. I'd rather feel better now! when I am older, I will have a mix mash of pains and aches, and the veins will fit right in.

Mags, you are supposed to whine. We love whines. We live to whine. whine away about yourself.. how else can we be a whiney support group?

Mags - I hope the pain subsides - it's so hard to concentrate on anything when you have that sort of a headache.

Least - I swear by my yogurt - but I get tired of it sometimes. Hope it helps, along with the juice.
I didn't enjoy high school either. I was very shy & was accused of being 'stuck-up'. Instead of looking back fondly on those years, as others do, I was overjoyed on graduation day - I was free.

Ann - I'm going to do some planting soon - we have 2 decks & they're both very barren looking. Enjoy fixing up the patio.

Suze - You have a high success rate with your plants & flowers, right? I've lost many over the years. I don't think I pay enough attention to the right type of soil.

Chic - Are the coreopsis yellow? Nice find!
I'm very glad you're taking care of the leg issue. I agree with your logic about not waiting.

Daisy - Snaps are doing well, so far. They've only been in my possession for one day though.
What despicable behavior on the part of the bully. How can anyone think tormenting another person is entertaining? Please let us know how this goes - I hope the school will take action. When does school end for the year?

Just poured a big glass of cranberry juice. I really don't like it but will force it down for the medicinal effects. Got yogurt too, to offset the diarrhea from the anti B's.

Billie ate her breakfast this morning. Not very enthusiastically but she finished it.

Chic, hope you're enjoying your two days off.

Billie just got off my lap and is lying on her blankie. God bless her little doggy heart.

Daisy, shame on the bully in school. I hope the school does something to prevent this in the future.

Least, hope your infection clears up soon. Did Billy get some broth on his food this morning? A little broth can make a big difference.

Venus, can't wait to see your flowers. You inspired me to at least start and the prices were very good this morning, I think they overstocked for Mother's Day and need to thin out a little.

Mags, here's where the whines are welcome.

I hated high school too, couldn't wait to get out and work. I wasn't picked on but I was very shy and people mistook that for snobbery and didn't bother with me much. It took me a while to make friends. Thank goodness for my best friend who had been my friend since 4 years old. We understood each other, still do.

Just doing a drive by here with my new patio plants. Hope Chic can help me here. The Portulaca patio pots won't be in for a couple of weeks but I am on their call list.

I got some pretty petunia like flowers and can't for the life of me think what they are called. But apparently they are hardy and should last a couple of months at least (I prefer all summer but will do and these were not expensive). These are not my pictures, I haven't taken any yet

And I got these Rio Dilpladenias, I had never seen or heard of them but they are from Florida and endure heat and sun well.

least, hopefully catch the uti quickly with your cranberry juice and yoghurt. Take care. pleased Billie had her breakfast earlier.

Chic, it’s lovely that your son helps you, so many plants, they’ll look gorgeous when grown.

Hev, thanks, it is terrible and debilitating but....it’s started subsiding..blood pressure gone back down...nearly normal, I’m feeling human again, though pretty much feel beat up.
No idea what caused it....something in the atmosphere? Dunno. I seriously never want it back again. Phew. Touch wood!

It’s whinging time......
I feel terrible saying this...I love my two cats dearly but they’ve just brought in a little sparrow and it breaks my heart. I know cats do this but I’m really wondering if I could have them in permanently, as house cats. Would that be too cruel after they’re used to going out daily? I love them but I love all the little creatures outside too. What do I do?

Mags, my Toby was an outdoor cat but he became deaf and so I kept him in and only took him out on a leash. He protested at first but got to love his walks and didn't really mind being in the house at all. He had lots of windows to look out from and sunny spots to lay.

Toby liked to hunt too, he'd leave birds alone but bring home mice...I'd stop him at the door, pick him up and shake him gently on the lawn until he dropped it, then make him come indoors. He once brought a live squirrel in, got all the way in before I saw it. I had to call animal control people...it was an ugly and scary day at my house.

Short version...give it a try, they will get used to it and be much safer anyway.

Nothing wrong with keeping your little hunters inside to protect the outdoor critters. My cats are strictly indoor cats.

Ann, yes I poured a bit of broth on her food this morning. She took her good ol' time eating it but did finish it all.

Ann, are those petunia-like flowers pansies?

No, I think they are of the Petunia family but for the life of me I can't remember their name. Chic may know. Or I may remember, lol.

Oh gosh....they are mandevillas my love, the second ones.....the climbier ones are known as mandevillas and the pot spiller over ones are known as Dipladenias. But EVERYONE gets it wrong all of the time...Lowes, Home Depot, everyone. (of the four mandevillas I bought this year, one is actually a dipladenia.....looks awesome growing on the front steps. ).

And sorry...to the max....my frustration is not with you. At all. I could take out the "oh gosh" but then you wouldn't know I am upset. And it IS whiners. s

However.....just want to say I love you all very much. Someone else upset me. Someone very insensitive.

Makes me even more grateful for all of you....what an incredibly kind and caring group. xx

least honey....hope the cranberry juice helps....they actually sell cranberry capsules (CVS, etc) that are just a few dollars. I keep them in the cupboard as I tend to have the same issue, and even though I like cranberry juice it is SO expensive. s xx

Just took Billie for a walk and she's back to her normal pooping schedule. Did a LW.

I am drinking gallons of cranberry juice. I'm sick of it already. But hoping it will do the trick.

I took the antibiotic with food so it didn't upset my stomach. Just waiting for the 'aftereffects'...

Well, you may not need the antibiotic love.....it may not be wise....you really need a whole course for it to be effective.

The juice, and lots of water should help. And of course if it is painful tomorrow still, best to try and see the doctor. This is the one thing I never play around with. xxxxx

Ann - I think they are Calibrachoa. I had a pot of them last year & loved them. I had 3 colors in a large, hanging pot. They loved the sun.

Cats - I grew up with them - and my parents always let them out. They didn't think it was fair to keep them indoors, back then. We had fields behind us & they would hunt for mice & loved it outdoors. But if I ever have cats again, living where I do in the country, I think I'd have to keep them in. I'd be afraid of predators like Coyote. It's a hard decision.

A little voice deep inside me said, "Hello, I am here." It was a small voice, & sounded as if it were buried underneath the cushions of my couch. It was my soul...I had forgotten it.
