Well, she ate her supper. I gave her a bit less than usual and she ate it all up. I poured a bit of the chicken broth on it and she dove right in.

Now to see if she'll eat tomorrow's breakfast too.

Ann, I like the idea of the covered table for the patio.

Least, I figured if she was just fussy or bored with her food, the soup would do the trick. I am glad it did. Maybe add a little each feeding. it is good for her and she obviously likes it.

Chic, enjoy your vacation, you deserve to be pampered.

Billie is taking her after supper nap. I'm so glad she ate.

I will pour a little broth on her breakfast tomorrow. Hope that entices her to eat again. I was getting worried.

Love the Far Side cartoon!

Suki - Did you know that China's new National Panda Park will be three times the size of Yellowstone? Supposed to open next year.

Daisy - You are up in the wee hours. I fell asleep reading at 2am this morning, book fell on my face. No broken nose though.

Chic - Have a lovely 2 days off.

Ann - I'm glad the patio plans are coming together.
I'm holding off on buying the rest of my flowers until next week. I don't trust this weather.

Least - I'm happy to know Billie ate - that's a relief.

least, I’m pleased Billie ate, fingers crossed for breakfast sounds an interesting job, all the best.x

I have a magnolia tree, beautiful, I love it. There seems to be a lot around here too. Looks good when they’re all in bloom.

Headache terrible. Been up most night, managed a few hours sleep. Tried everything except a bath in Epsom salts. Which I’m going to have soon. Played meditation music for migraines from YouTube in the night...amazing reviews...didn’t work! Just had 2 paracetamol.
I’m trying to go with the flow, feel the headaches, soak it up.
I wonder if it’s a migraine, I thought a headache would’ve passed by now. Feeling very sore and beaten up (not literally, lol)

(((Mags))) I'm sorry you've got a headache. I used to get them a lot but seem to have outgrown them.

Just realized that Billie hasn't pooped all day, since she's not eaten in a day and a half.

I don't have any magnolias, but do have a Dogwood in the back yard. The school gives out small saplings to the first graders each fall. Our town has lots of dogwoods.

Morning whiners and I hope you're all in good whining mode. I just realised that I forgot to whine last night, so I've got a double whammy this morning.
Yesterday I took my car in and had the new speedo and connecting cable fitted but before I took it in the door half fell off the glove box! Not a major issue but even so, so I told them about it when I took the car in but they couldn't fix that the same day so I have to take it in again next Monday.
My other whine is that this morning when I was going to pick my older two g.children up for the school run, I got stuck behind a refuse wagon right in my daughters' street and no way was the driver going to make room for me to get past. I had to wait while they emptied the bins, put them back again, drove a couple of yards and did the same again, then again! Eventually I managed to squeeze past by driving up the kirb. I appreciate that these people have a job to do but I swear the driver was purposely being awkward.

I love my magnolia tree Ann, it's so pretty and it flowers in May, then again in September.
I'm glad you and your Bubba have come to an agreement over the patio furniture. Both choices sound good.

Thanks for my daily smile Suki, very funny. x

Thanks Chicory, I took a chance buying an olive tree, I didn't know if it would survive our climate but it has and it's been outside all through the winter. We had a good summer last year and it bore fruit, hopefully this year will be the same. It was quite cheap too as I got it from Lidl cut price supermarket, so it was a bargain all round. It'll be interesting to hear how your avocado seedling grows.

I'm so glad that Billie seems to be perking up again now Least, that broth seems to be doing the trick. She'll probably want it all the time now lol. She won't have pooped as she won't have any waste with not eating, but make sure she drinks plenty, don't want her getting dehydrated ( I'm sure you know that anyway.) You take care of yourself too.

I went to bed shortly after midnight Hevyn, which is far too late, I've been like that for the last few nights, maybe I need to cut down on the coffee. Ouch, so glad you didn't get hurt when the book fell on your face, books can be heavy.
How are your snap dragons doing?

There are a lot of Magnolia trees round here too Mags, they do look stunning when they are in bloom.
Aww I'm so sorry you're suffering with such a bad headache and I hope it passes very soon, you'll be ready for a good sleep when it's gone. I don't really suffer from headache's these days, but I did have an Ocular migraine about 2 weeks ago which was the strangest sensation ever, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again. xxx

Oh, I'm fuming, my daughter has just phoned me and told me that there was an incident of bullying with my eldest g.son yesterday. He has just turned 12 and is on the Asbergers' spectrum but quite low down on the scale' he goes to a mainstream school. He is very clever accademically but has poor co-ordination so is not very good at sports and p.e etc. He's
very gentle and caring boy and is just gorgeous. Yesterday at lunch time he was desperate to go the toilet, he went to the little boys room and a bigger lad blocked him, dancing in front of him and goading him and just wouldn't let him pass, which resulted in my grandson wetting himself. I could cry. My daughter has emailed his head of year and has phoned the school and will not let this matter drop till its sorted. Honestly, if people only knew the battle we had to get him to ever use the toilet in the first place, he had a fear of toilets until he was about 7.

Daisy, God bless your grandson and shame shame on the bully. There is no excuse for bullying these days, they must be seriously reprimanded. That incident was awful, poor kid will never forget it. My heart hurts for him,

Least, I hope Billie eats her breakfast and give you a LW today. I hope she is fine, we love that little rascal and she's one of us,

Suki, I read Hev's post about the enormous Panda Park and I swear I could hear you squeal in delight all the way up in Canada. What a wonderful way to integrate them back into nature and protect them when they are there.

PJ, how is your hand today? I hope the antibiotics are working and that you are on the mend. Never give up, no matter what the disappointments along the way.

Maud, so sorry about that awful headache, and also the high blood pressure. I am glad you are getting checked out and hope you get some relief soon.

Venus, where are you and what's going on in your lovely corner of the world?

Pondy, I hope your pool is coming along, how nice it will be for summer.

Chic, enjoy your vacation day, hope the sun is shining for you.

It is sunny today and patio flowers are top of the agenda. Portulaca in mixed colours are my first choice and I am going to the nursery where I got them last year.

Daisy, my heart hurts for your grandson and for you. I can understand...my grandson has adhd, anxiety, and possibly on spectrum. hes 10. many struggles along the way, hes mainstream schooled too. I hope the bully gets justly punished- our kids with special needs need protection from his sort...hes the one with a problem that will probably never get addressed, and he will probably be hated for his lifetime! Good for mama, who will see that this is addressed. if shes like my daughter, and it sounds so, she's a mama bear for her child!
you both will make sure that he processes this and stays happy and feels loved!

Good morning whiners! Billie pooped this morning.

I wasn't bullied in high school but I was ignored and made fun of. I hated high school.

I'm trying to apply for a part time job as a motor route carrier for our local paper. I saw a sign outside their bldg and called. I left a message for the circulation guy. I know voice mail is convenient, but I hate it. I like speaking to a real person.

Hev, I'm sure the snapdragons were happy that you rescued them and will put them in the nice ground so they can flourish.

I guess the shredded rubber mulch is like what they put down on playgrounds.
That's fantastic love!!!! What a perfect job for you....I hope you are able to speak with that guy.....I would send an email...you write so beautifully and clearly.....why not.....go for it!!!!!
