I had to go back to the store cause I forgot chips when I went earlier. Gotta have chips!

Daisy, glad you're feeling better. Hope that cold is on the way out.

Lily is here visiting Billie and Billie is being nice to her.

Daisy, you are a good person to raise your grandson. Sadly, that is fairly common here. An old favourite member and friend of mine, Devastated aka Dev is raising her great granddaughter and doing a wonderful job. She has had her since she was about 2 and I think she is into her teens by now. God bless all grandparents and great grandparents who raise the innocent children.

It was sad to hear about Notre Dame, it sounds like some of it may be able to be saved or salvaged but it was such a huge fire, I don't see how they can. Prayers for the people of France.

Least, I am so glad Lily and Billie are pals. It's nice that they love each other.

PJ, take care of that hand.

We got thunder and lightening last night too, then rain this morning but it cleared by late afternoon. Bubba and I drove through the hills looking for the elusive sandhill cranes spotted in the area. Also snow geese and trumpeter swans (our swans are usually Mute Swans) and Redpolls. To no avail but the ride was nice. We got apples but skipped the good mall, it's too busy on Sundays.

Bubba is watching hockey playoffs, Toronto vs Boston. Toronto is winning 2-1. GO LEAFS GO!!

I asked Billie if she had to go out/go potty, and she laid her head back down as if to say, nah, not now. She doesn't bark, as Jack used to do, when she has to go out. She just gets up and goes to the door of the den.

She must still be taking her before-bedtime nap.

When I was a caseworker, I had quite a few clients who were raising grandkids. I liked being able to get most of them medical or food assistance.

My cold is much, much better now thank you Least, I'm almost back to normal, whatever normal is. Hope you enjoyed those chips.
Sounds like Billie & Lily have a love/hate relationship... like my g.children

Thank you Ann, the only other alternative would be him going into the care system and there is no way that's going to happen to a g.child of mine. It's hard work and my son won't sign him over to me because he claims every benefit going for the child and contributes nothing towards his upkeep. If I reported him to the Powers that be he would probably get sent down and I can't do that, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I can't see how they can salvage Notre Dame either, it's all so tragic.
I love reading about your wild life, I've never heard of trumpeter swans or Redpolls, I'm going to have to Google them.

I'v got my g.son sat besides me at the moment, he's playing on his tablet, he's been awake since before 6 yet when he's at school I have to drag him out of bed, typical.

Going to do some perusing now, have the best Tuesday you can. Back later xxx

Daisy, have you talked to a lawyer about custodial possibilities? Or perhaps, as often is the case, things are best left alone to get as much care as you do for the child. My heart and prayers go out for you.

Least, hope the toothache subsides, maybe time for a dental visit? Owiee, me too, I hate the dentist.

PJ, hope you are healing well at home.

It's a lovely day, not sure where it will lead us but it will be outdoors. Rain is predicted later in the week and for Good Friday.

You are a wonderful mum darling Daisy ~ I am afraid I would be telling my son that I am going to report him unless he contributes the govt money to his son's upkeep.

But I have had a few days here....I found out someone (in my f2f world) was totally using me and just trying to get as much money as possible out of me/us....I am such a fool, I was being so nice.....sigh. Oh well. Live and learn. And be less gullible Suze.

I am glad your tooth is better now dear least.... so much love

And massive whiny hugs for everyone. ♥♥

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Ann - Have you warmed up yet? We're still going down in the 20'sF at night. Ridiculous. Nothing green yet either.

Went to Aldi and got more flax seed for Billie. I swear I'm having an anxiety attack from too much coffee.

I just took down and threw out my dusty little Christmas tree. I'm trying to rid my house of junk, one item at a time.

Took Billie for a walk and she did a LW. I just gave her a biscuit.

Awww, precious little fella (or gal), Suki.

Good weather today, almost 50F/10C and mostly sunny. Went to good mall, I am not impressed with handbag selection this spring and may need to go on line to find a fine bag at a decent price. I am getting thrifty in my old age but love the challenge of a good bargain.

Venus, sorry you got taken for a ride.

I think Bubba and I are doing Easter here. My brother is going to Vancouver Island to be with my niece and her gang, I think my niece is going to her inlaws, which is very fair because she spends a lot of time with our side of the family, so I may watch the weather and do an Easter picnic if it will be nice, or pick a day trip and eat out along the way. I am not in the mood to cook a turkey, maybe a ham and scalloped potatoes...I am so undecided but okay with however it unfolds.

The following week we are doing the King of Hearts birthday, so will have time with them then. He will be 6, can't believe how fast he is growing.
