Venus, I have been through family dysfunction on my side and Bubba's both and I can promise you that just making peace with yourself about it and letting it be is the best way to go. We are not responsible for the bad behaviour of others, nor can we change anyone else. So we need to let them own their own behaviour and just take care of ourselves...does this make even a lick of sense? Just make peace with yourself, the rest will take care of itself.

Pondy, I had weird dreams last night too, that I was trying to do payroll and run a company that Bubba worked at too and he kept interfering and driving me crazy. The thing is, he has never once interfered with my career or choices, lol. I am glad you and I both woke up to a better world than our dreams led us to.

Least, Billie loves the other kitties outdoors and is easily distracted because she is smart and curious.

Love the selfie, Suki.

Sorry, Suze.
Family can rip you up like nobody's business.
I never feel good after a fight with my sib.
I feel......defeated.
Well, I got my schedule straightened out, got Mom's glasses fixed (Note: when the little screw falls out, take the glasses to the eyewear place to get them fixed. It takes them, literally, two minutes, and will save you hours of frustration.)
And ran a couple of errands.
And...I went to the doctor to have my ankle looked at. It's swollen again.
He ordered blood work and an x ray.
And I got home in time to nap.
Thanks, Opi, for the new thread. It's perfect.
Thanks as well to everyone for your caring comments about my work.
I agree. It's probably time to move on.
I have thought about working at a nursery or a greenhouse and may act on it.

If I ever did work again, that would be my dream job. I wouldn't want accounting and have been out of it for 5 years and would have a lot of catching up to do that I don't want to. You would be wonderful at this, I would envy you come spring with all the new plants and flowers.

Maudcat, I hope you can find a job that satisfies you. I hope your ankle feels better soon.

Ann, actually, Billie does not love the outside kitties. She once caught one and bit it hard enough that it died. I don't let her near the kitties now. She doesn't bite the house cats tho.

It's still raining. I HATE winter.

Least - Jackpot was kitty aggressive too. He could not come in contact with cats - thankfully, we realized it early on & avoided a tragedy.

Maudcat - Your ankle was better - I wonder why it got sore again? Good that you're having it checked out.

Ann - I hope you get some sleep.

Hev, it's weird. She chases the house cats but never attacks them. The stray kitty she killed was really young, and Billie caught it before I could yank her back. She acted like she was hunting. I've never seen her so aggressive before.

Still raining.

Maudcat, I hope the doctor can give your ankle some relief.

I need some decent weather so I can go to the spring and get more drinking water. I've run out in my five 2 gallon jugs. If I go out there when it's raining, it'll be muddy. And I'm not going out there if it's cold.

Ann, I hope for good traffic for you tomorrow.

Beagles are hunting dogs, least, as you probably know. It's bred into them. I would be extra careful of her around any cats.

Suki, she's only that way with the strays. She likes to chase Zippy and Franny but never bothers them otherwise. She likes Lily and they get along very well.

It is still raining and is getting colder. I hope the roads by bro have been salted before he goes to work tomorrow.

PJ, I was wondering who 'Pony' was.

Sounds like it was a predator response, least.
Maybe the cat's size triggered something in Billie.
My feeling is that, with our creatures, it comes down to size and or territory.
I will know more about my ankle tomorrow, when my physician gets the labs and X-ray report back.
He was wondering about gout, but that seems unlikely to me.
No family history, and I've not been troubled by it before.
But who knows. Gout is amazingly common, and I am, after all, 67.
Anything is possible.

I cried all night. How does someone take it upon themselves to write a vitriolic letter listing all of the apparently horrendous things I did to her in her life and that I am toxic and so many many worse things.

Thank God my older sister was there for me....and I feel so sorry for her.....I know she misses me as much as I miss her, and she is left with our younger sister who she believes has mental issues now from drugs, or she doesn't know what.

I just don't understand how someone who was my best friend for most of my life could re-write our history making me the most evil person that ever walked the planet.

But I hear you dear Ann....I will indeed let this go and make peace with myself. Somehow.

Thank you so much...

My son has mental issues too, Venus. We can pray for them but we can't fix them. It's not about "us" at all.

Dry roads all the way in, I hope the snow holds off until after we get home. Just having a coffee waiting for my appointment in an hour. Back later this afternoon.

I'm so relieved, Ann. The weather is a horror show here right now, so I hope that the drive home isn't too bad.

Hello dear Anna
I have been missing you big time.
