Lpg, see if this helps: https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...our-posts.html (How to put pics in your posts)

If you still have questions, probably someone here can help you.

The image hosting site I use is this one: https://postimages.org It's free, and if you select "640x480 for message boards" as the size for your posted photo, the site will automatically resize your picture to fit perfectly on the forum page--you won't have to worry that it will come out enormously huge or too small to see well.

Glad you got the hang of it so quick, Lpg! Quick question: Did you choose "Thumbnail for forum" when you copied the link to insert your picture? If so, and if you want your picture larger, so we can see all the beautiful details, you can choose "Hotlink for forums" and that will give you a larger picture but still will fit the forum page.

Those are are a lovely, lovely purple color!

From venuscat……

Red you say dearest aasharon??? Ha!!! Boy do you
need to come over love....hmm...it may be a bit too
far.....but I am red and green to the max....my whole
house in fact as well as outside, and it does not look
too much....just flows with grey and white and wood
floors. I love colour....I love plants too.... just a bit.

When I met my now husband of 9 yrs, I made
the decision to move in with him instead of
buying a new home. We both have made some
changes to make the house our home which
has been a joy to do.

Anyway....our back yard has a bright white vinyl
tall fence that encloses the entire backyard for
privacy. Inside the fence we have a rectangle in
ground swimming pool which is the center vocal
point.

There is a paved sidewalk that surrounds the
pool, then all my gardens run along 3 sides of
the pool and the 4th side is our deck. Above the
pool is a shade cloth in black that is held on by
towering black poles, all that my husband installed
to cut out all the harmful suns rays when I work
out in the pool.

There is greenery Holly bushes that are spaced
apart that are shaped to look like trees so when
the spot lights can shine between them and display
their shapes on the white fences behind them.

My gardens are forever evolving with each
season that has passed us. Adding new Roses,
perrinnials, annuals, whatever comes in red
mostly....lol but do add other golds, yellow,
purple, blues, pinks, white....you name it.

My inside home has solid white walls for
the back drop with brown wood floors,
tile in 2 rooms of black and white and
mostly an abundant amount of red for
accents for bedding, curtains, rugs, lamps,
and more red.....lol

It's a wonder Im not actually seeing
red....like when one gets really mad....lol

Anyway.....

Im sure you have a lovely place that
you are extremely proud of too....
and a garden of paradise that brings
much joy and serenity.

Thanks venuscat, this is my second year experimenting in the garden so still got alot to learn. And last year I ended up hitting the booze too much so the garden got neglected so this year should go better. Planted alot from seed so re potting this morning, what a great way to start the day ☺

Sorry to hear about the chaos outside your garden I hope they get the work done soon so you can relax in your lovely space, look forward to seeing your photo.

Those purple petunias spotted w/white are just the bee's knees! I saw some at a garden center this AM, although they had more purple and just small flecks of white. Really cool--but I don't need any more plants now, have a handful to still get into pots and then THAT IS ALL, too much else to do!

Beautiful Petunia's in purple Lpg is making
we want to go get some along with those
cute little yellow flowers.

Purple and yellow/gold color mixed
in a pot for our LSU colors.

Okay.....so we went to our local Home Depot
for some supplies on a project my husband
is working on. He's gonna set us up a water
hose system towards the back of our yard
so I don't have to drag the one I have thru
the gardens and letting it lay in the pool.

Anyway, just before I hopped in the car,
I looked down on the ground near a curb
and spotted a few white clover flowers
growing in the almost bare dirt. Sooooo,
I bent down and pulled it up to take home
with me. Oh NOOOOOO, was that a steal???? lol

I hope not, cause I already planted the
roots in the garden where I spotted a
little itty bitty baby bumble bee already
flying about near it.

Can anyone help me, Iv just repotted my seedlings into bigger pots and I used soil from another plot to replant them, they seem to be getting eaten by something worried iv ruined them by using old soil. Is there any thing I can use on them to stop them being somethings lunch? I'm new to this gardening stuff and basically winging it.

Lpg, are you able to post some pics of the seedlings so we can see the damage? I'm thinking it's unlikely that the old soil would have held something that would actually be eating your plants, but getting a good look at what's going on would be helpful in correctly diagnosing the problem. Is the damage to leaves? Stems? Are there holes in the leaves? Entire leaves missing? Leaves discolored? A lot of different things could be going on.
