I am going through the big book af AA with a sponsee and I realised there's a lot of phrases in it that would be awesome metal song titles😀 I think you could make a pretty good death metal album with song titles all being Big Book quotes.
here are some I found:
"Into the Gates of Insanity and Death"
"Pityful and Incomprehensible Demoralisation"
"A Hundred forms of Fear"
"Power to actually Kill"
"An Evil and corroding thread"
can any of you find more BB quotes that would make awesome metal song titles?

Just found this thread and glad I did. I'm a sober metalhead. My favorite band is Metallica, especially their music from the '80s. My 2nd fav band being Cradle of Filth. I'm so glad I'm not the only metalhead on this site. \m/ Keep on rocking everyone.

Welcome Wes! I've seen Metallica, I think 3 times....they're awesome
Last night was the 'Louder Than Life' Festival in Kentucky ~ where Godsmack and Guns N' Roses were on the bill....OMG....I've seen them both in concert, but if I saw them both in the same night that would be the end of Purps! Like POOF! Lol
I had an awesome summer going to several metal festivals. Going to festivals sober is awesome, you don't worry about dehydrating in the sun, you save money, you remember everything you see, you get to see the last band in the evening instead of passing out drunk, and you can help your drunk friends find their way back to their tens at night.
One of the highlights for me was seeing Medieval Steel twice, I even bumped into them at one festival and got my t-shirt signed. Later that night when they played they were encouraging the crowd to sing along, suddenly the singer pointed at me saying "if you're en doubt, just follow this guy - he knows!"
Vman -- that Annihilator show is tonight isn't it... I hope you have a great time!
Wes -- Hi and welcome! I don't hear about CoF very often. I saw them once... in about 1997 at Tramps in NYC. That was the show where I learned it is not a good idea to go into the pit while wearing chain mail.
I'm going to see Slayer on Nov 12th. I've seen them many times... but this will be the last time, so I am really looking forward to it.
Also... my new band has scheduled our debut gig for Dec 28. Really looking forward to that as well
