Aww, that's so sweet. I never thought of something like that with mom. But the Place had so many things going on, they really kept her busy.

I just sent a complaint to Wendy's. I went to get some nuggets and fries and when I got home (3 minutes later) the food was cold! It's usually nice and hot so it was unusual. I hope they make good on my complaint.

Suki,
that was beautiful. made me cry and laugh and smile, all at the same time. God bless her, for making his life so much better, and for sharing the inspiration with us.

Suki - Beautiful video, like Chic, I cried, laughed and smiled all the way through it.

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been keeping up with everyone here. I'm still a bit depressed but anti-d is helping.

Living conditions are the same - still in the basement at B&T's with Tiger and Mots. Only one couple has looked at the house and said it was over-priced. Realtor plans on having an open house a week from tomorrow.

I'm going to see if maybe Littles L&A and their mom and dad are going to see Sis and ride along. Miss them all, so much.

No luck in finding another job. Working at least 50 hrs/week for the OT. I've been promoted in duties/responsibilities but no mention of more pay. For now, it will do as it will look good that I was given more responsibility after only 3 months.

Been stashing money away, bit by bit for deposits, rent, etc. B thinks my "ranch" may be on the market for 2 years or more.

To keep my membership here, I must whine - I will be mowing the 5 acres of yard/pasture tomorrow on my only day off.

Grat whine - clean/sober and nicotine free!! I haven't gained any weight from 4 months ago when I went to my dr. (quit smoking 5 mos. ago) and all my blood work came back fine.

Will try to be more active here, have been keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Amy, so glad to hear from you, my bones were getting jittery. I am not surprised you were promoted, you are a good worker and any employer would be lucky to have you. Hope a job you love comes up soon and you won't have to work so many hours. It's good you are putting some cash away for your next place, being prepared and having a plan is always a good idea.

Least, hope your computer is up and running soon . We will miss you and your furbabies.

Chic, sorry that extra work always seems to fall on you. Poo on your coworker for giving notice and asking you to work today.

Suki, that video is very touching. I can see that my brother is now restless without his career as a brilliant lawyer, both losing his routine and his mind weighs heavy on him even though it was time for him to retire anyway. They went to Ireland recently and travel (with his wife) seems to make him happy, they hike a lot and enjoy the quiet life in places they visit, but the time will come where it will be too difficult to go anywhere far.

It's a lovely day here, not sure of the plan. Bubba needs a haircut and maybe will take a lazy day before starting the new project tomorrow...or we may drive somewhere swell and see nature at its best. Either way, I am happy with the day and my life.

Good morning dear whiners !

Amy, I'm glad you checked in with us. Try to post more, especially if you're depressed.....you KNOW our whines will make you laugh

Sipping coffee with GiGi. Years ago my Dad gave all three of his girls a beautiful pepper grinder for Christmas. Mine finally bit the dust, so I took it to the store it was purchased from to see if it could be repaired. They weren't very helpful, saying they no longer sold it etc.

Fast forward to my being at a different store, telling them this story and how much I loved anything from my Dad. Sweet lady told me to bring it to her.....she'd lost her Dad and had to find someone to darn her Dad's socks when they wore out, as she wore them to feel closer to her Dad.

Anyhoo, she called me yesterday and told me she'd figured out what was wrong, who the manufacturer is and the contact information for who she spoke with! I'm to ship it to them in CA and they'll repair it!

Isn't this wonderful I'm writing a special note, about their special employee.....learned that from our dear least !

Pondy, that's wonderful that your dad's gift can be repaired. I do love people that go the extra mile to try to help others and how nice of you to write a letter commending that woman.

Bubba announced we will walk the river trail this morning...works for me, and I can check my great blue herons.

Spacgoat, puppy is lucky to have you. What did you name him? Can't wait to see the pictures.

I miss Least, hope she is up and running soon.

River park walk this morning brought me great blue herons and the loveliest loon who was bathing with wings spread as he swam along. Bubba walked the other way through the university and found a new osprey nest so came and got me and we went over there and I got the most splendid pictures of the daddy osprey and a grown baby, I think, he was calling to someone so it must have been the female who was probably fishing in the river.

Then we drove along the river to the next quaint town and I saw a pair of cormorants sitting in a tree with no leaves...another good photo shot. And then cows, mamas and babies, bathing in the river on a farm across the water...and water lilies reflecting in a lovely pond where turtles were basking on rocks...such a wonderful day in nature for me. It's where I find my mojo and recharge my spiritual batteries. Next week when Bubba is working and I have more time I will bring some of the photos here to share with you all.

I'm off to get some fill in groceries now, I will need to have lunch goodies for Bubba next week.

Sunday hugs out to everyone.

Amy - Many positive things in your post - I'm glad. Bloodwork came back fine - that's always so good to hear!
Houses here in the Catskills are often on the market 2 or more years.

Ann - You saw so many wonderful things - that area suits you perfectly. We love seeing your pics.

Space - Very happy you got a dog & look forward to seeing the little sweetie.
We're just glad to have you posting - whine whenever the urge hits you.

Pondy - Love the story of the pepper grinder. I've only ever had cheap ones. It's so nice you'll be getting it repaired.

My cousin Mary has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Don't know if it's Hodgkins or Non-Hodgkins. She was in hospital being treated for pneumonia when they found it.

Jackpot tried to get out for a repeat performance of yesterday. Apparently he loved lying in the yard for hours with me held hostage because I couldn't get him back inside. I refused to let him out until MrH came home & could lift him.

Least - We miss you and your whines. You're probably so frustrated.

Bubba's lunch is made and his work stuff all ready for tomorrow. It's weird getting back into work mode. I plan a lazy day tomorrow, hope to get some pictures done so I can post them here.

Hev, that's cute that Jackpot loved laying outside with you yesterday. We may have to all chip in and buy Jackpot a chair lift.

Suki, I never tire of pandas, they are the sweetest creatures on earth.

I hope Least is back tomorrow, it's strange when she is away.

Cormorants are cool , Ann. Were you wearing your special, permit cormorant pants?

Went to donate blood (every 3 months). Blood pressure lower than ev er , below average (good), pulse good, Hg count good. Vein doth protest today (happens). I think the use of that vein so extensively when I fried- has left a toll. 3 nurses- going up the scale of seniority- ploughed away for about 7 - 10 minutes. They hit the vein and good, honest ,sincere blood flowed- then decided not to. Am allowed to go back in 2 weeks. That makes 3 hits, 3 misses so far.
The nice lady wrapped up the plough site with a big, new white bandage- so the world can see I care.
Got my Monday meeting to run @ lunch. Have a good appropriate span of alloted (?) time to come.

PJ, that's noble of you to try to donate blood. If it's any consolation, I never used drugs of any kind and yet they have a heck of a time (sometimes) getting a good vein for my bone shot.

Hope you are able to donate some time in the future, if not I'm sure you can help in other ways.

PJ - I feel faint after reading about the search for your vein.
The Cormorant pants are always sold out in our area.

Ann - That's the ticket - a chair lift!

Suki - You seem positively cheerful for a Sunday evening.
Pandas never fail to give us smiles.

My last pair of cormorant pants got waterlogged and I had to hang them on a branch for a week.

Got Bubba off to work, didn't go back to bed but I plan a nap this afternoon.

Hope Least is back with us today, she is probably missing us too.
