Fandy, Costco sells a nice set of glass lock containers. Sometimes they have the plastic ones, but we too like the glass ones

YESS!!! i plan to buy the set the next time i go there...my SIL has them and i am very jealous...it's a nice set for $30.00.

i take the disposable plastic containers to work and toss them in recycle after i eat what i have packed.

so I have asked LMF that in the event of my untimely death, she MUST keep the animals together....she assured me that she will maintain my townhouse just like Ernest Hemingway's estate...

I have to color my gray hair too Fandy. I started graying in my late teens! My sister didn't have a gray hair on her head when she died at 36. I'll be 35 in a few short hours.

I was going to buy color yesterday at WalMart and I swear, those idiots thought it a genious idea to tear all the color off the shelves during the day instead of doing it after midnight. SMH. I left. It p!ssed me off. lol

Howdy all. Been watching movies and snoozing in the chair. Still coughing my head off and have a headache from so much coughing. Back hurts too from it. So sick of being sick...

I love the Pyrex and the Anchor glass containers. I had one come up stolen from work. If it ever makes it back, even if it has someone's lunch in it, it's going back home with MaMa! It's part of a set that is now incomplete.

The thanks button is screwed up again. When I click on it I get a blank space under the post. Never mind, there it is.

My head aches so bad from coughing...

I got a call from work, came to another lady's house and am staying overnight. Hoping the phone charge holds up so I can check in here. She goes to sleep early and im allowed to sleep, but will probably read a book or work on crossword puzzles
Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Just finished watching a documentary on a group of three people who ate vegan for six weeks. Although, I've seen film footage before of commercial farms....it's always horrifying to view how farm animals are treated / slaughtered Very disturbing.

Bubba and I have been eaten vegan (most of the time) for a couple of months now. It helps his diabetes in an amazing way, he is down to one pill a day (he tests himself each day and has his doctor's blessing,so this is not dangerous) and he hopes to get off all medication eventually, and it also means he won't have any cholesteral problems. I am amazed at how much we can eat and it didn't take long to get used to it.

I have allowed myself shrimp about once a week, and cream in my morning coffee, and ice cream about once every two weeks...but aside from that I've done well and lost weight without even trying. The margarine we use (sparsely) is Vegan and the pasta is whole grain. Lots of veggies and rice, fresh fruit and nuts. Trust me, if I didn't like it I would not be on it. It's just very healthy and there are lots of choices when eating out.

We are closet vegans because people look at you funny if you say what you are. And if anyone invited us for dinner and served meat, we'd eat it, and then go back to our vegan way the next meal.

Ann, This documentary specifically mentions how diabetes improves with this diet. All three people lost weight, without trying, and had improvements in their bloodworm, in six short weeks!

I eat mostly vegetarian, because my daughter is, and it's easier to prepare just one meal. I adore greek yogurt , ice cream, egg whites and cheese though. I ate shrimp on x-mas eve - love it too!

I don't think I would become a conscience vegan, but the whole dietary model of meat and dairy, is taking a toll on our planet....not to mention unspeakable ways farm animals are treated. Geezzzz......first no wine......now ice cream????? LOL

Fandy, We now prefer whole wheat pastas - they have kind of a nutty flavor....but we are pretty "nutty"
