Thanks aasharon, I didn't know there was going to be a movie. I'll be watching it.
I have been following that story since she disappeared. Sad. I pray if she is alive she will be found.

She's not alive sadly.......

They set up the boys and caught them on tape
saying what they did to her.

I followed it,
I'm a huge LM fan also, and have been
seeing the ads for it also.

I will probably watch it.
I wanted to see if her Mom
had input in the movie first.

It's all so sad.

I went to goggle to see if there was any
info on the case and see what they had
to say about it.....

From what i gathered they said Natalie
and the guys were drinking and drugging
then went to the beach where she got
sick and fell and hit her head.

She died there so to get rid of the body
they thru it in some shark infested waters
away from the beach.

Not sure if thats true or not.

Yea that's pretty much how it happened,
they admitted it all to a guy in a truck.
It was pretty amazing.

Except she most likely wasn't dead they
dont think when they through her in the
water, just passed out, if I remember
right, that part was a big issue.

Might be inclined if I thought it would be a cautionary tale about excess alcohol consumption, but I would guess that the producers are going to gloss over that bit and focus on the 'sexier' aspects of the story.

I saw a 'documentary' television treatment of the 'facts' of the story long ago when the status of the investigation was still open, her friends talked about how she got off the plane in Aruba, started drinking and was heavily intoxicated until she died, may or may not have been something as mundane as alcohol poisoning.

The really tragic thing, parents ignoring-I know they did back in my day, had friends tell me as much-underage drinking, as a safer alternative to substance use/abuse.

I think it's just as important for parents to be educated about how dangerous it is for their kids to go out of the country, something happens to your kids out of this country
odds of you getting help of finding them aren't strong.

Parents think Senior trips are so safe going out of the country, they know kids are going to drink, but they think it's safe, that's scary. I know on our Senior trip we were scared to death to be separated, we made sure no matter how drunk anyone was that no one was left alone. No way in hell would we have let any of our friends go off with some guys from there.
Not saying it's anyone's fault, but I am glad they are doing this program on the dangers of another country.
If I had a kid, I wouldn't let them go to another country these days for Senior trip.
Too much stuff goes on...

I just finished watching the movie which aired
last night. It is kinda good to know what happened
to Natalie.....If that was true.....sad to know that
the boys thru her overboard and not knowing
if she was still alive. Or if they did know she was
alive and still got rid of her.....hmmmmm

I had a child.....my son who was maybe 4ish
and the family went to Florida for a vacation.
This was during my drinking career. Anyway
i was on the blanket with my little baby
daughter when my husband went to walk
by the water.....well my son took off to
catch up with him.....thats what we thought.

Here comes my husband and where is our son.....

Im pretty sure anxiety came into play wondering
what if he went into the water.....but something
kept reasuring me that he was too smart to
wonder to close to the water by himself.....

People on the beach were alerted and not long
after my husband and son returned.....he had
another way from his dad and just kepted
walking......

The same exact thing happened to one of my
brothers when we were at Mardi Gras in New
Orleans one yr....a police found him walking
and took him to the police station.....

My mom paniced and was a mess im sure....esp.
with 4 little ones she and my dad had to watch....

Of course this was a time when things werent
to bad as it is today. WHEW..!
