I am currently in the process of taking courses to obtain a Real Estate license. Sobriety has made this process a lot easier on me. It is SO much information, my head feels like it is going to explode. Since my sobriety, I don't have to manage hangovers and I have a clear head. I have been able to retain information a lot faster. I am scoring higher on benchmark tests. I can study hours at a time now.

I am currently at the end of the 4th course, and after I pass this course...

A experienced guy from the chat room told me that it's normal to fail at first. That each time we fail, we need to learn why we relapsed and what caused it, and how we can prevent it in the future.

I'm not used to learning things this way, and it's not easy. I think it's very difficult for people who aren't addicts to understand.

I'm going to lay down and try for another 24 hours tomorrow.

I know, that's one of the anthems of an alcoholic.

But it occurred to me today that I don't even like the taste of it. I don't like what it's done to my body. I don't like how it makes me not want to do the things I love, like draw, rollerblade, spend time with friends, explore the city, and even leave my room!

I've recently moved and my roommates have most certainly noticed that I'm sneaking beer into my room on a daily basis, and that's humiliating! It's negatively...

21 YEARS OLD:
I found out my boyfriend of five years had been cheating on me, with multiple people. The first thing I did was purchase a six pack of beer. I still question myself about that, because I had never been one to drink before, so why on earth was that my first go-to? A few weeks later, my friends decided I needed to get out of the house and spend some time "out" with them. We went to a local bar/club and I had my first shot of tequilla....
