Happy Holiday

It is Memorial Day here in the US (I, being staunchly un-militaristic prefer the old “Decoration Day” title, where it was a day to remember all who have come before, not just military and God Bless the USA jingoism), albeit a rainy one where I am at. During trips to the grocery store in the last couple days I have noted huge quantities of beer, wine and other booze supplies being loaded into carts along with hot dog buns and potato salad fresh from the deli. The first holiday weekend of the summer...

A word from my sponsors

Late Introduction

Wordpress, who hosts my blog, wanted me to add a “Gravitar”, their version of an avatar. So I chose Mt McKinley aka Denali as mine. I saw Denali this past summer; I even took the picture used for the “gravitar”....
