Thanks for 5 years of SR!
Without SR, life wouldn't be the same
I got out of my funk, out of the game.
I come here each day, morning and night
It helps keep me grounded, this wonderful site.
I have made many friends, lost souls just like me
We hang on to each other, we set ourselves free.
This place is a blessing: amazing, unique
It touches so many, helps them back on their feet.
Thank you Jon and the mods and the members all, too.
You are so special, so wonderful, and I do love you!!!!!
Happy Birthday, Soberrecovery!!!!
Hugs--
P.S. A poet, I am not......

Just joined
Hi everybody, just wanted to let ya'll know I just joined. Not only that today is my 7 year anniversary. Happy anniversary to anyone else celebrating recovery or a birthday today. Hope to be able to get answers to question and hep somebody else and be helped as well.
This thread has brought tears to my eyes !
I remember so well the relief I felt when I found SR.
I was a shaking shivering mess, having just returned from my very first AA meeting, and how well I remember the feeling of the long day stretching ahead of me .I was on holidays , and had lost my license, so was "grounded". I believe I "googled" alcoholism, and there was SR!
I had recovery at my fingertips 24/7, it literally saved my life !
How kind you all were !
Advice about my shakes , dehydration, anxiety and ignorance .
Today is my 2nd Anniversary, and I can never repay Jon for the wonderful job this site does
Thanks Jon for a very safe haven, and some wonderful friends
I know I am a bit late for the birthday , just wanted to say " thanks"
HUGX ALL

I never got a PM, and I never even seen this thread till now, ahhh not fair, how can that be?? LOL I remember hearing about a PM going around, always wondered what it was, I guess today was my day to find out, haha
I guess I need to start coming to SR through the front door instead of the back door and take a look around.
I dont think I can add anymore to our SR poem than what was said. SR is my first stopping point in the morning and my last stop at night. If I didn't have SR in my life I really do think I would have lost my mind. I love each and every here, and don't see myself without SR ever. Sometimes I try to explain to people what SR is about but to be honest I have found that words don't begin to describe SR and what it does for each and everyone of us. Thank you Jon for creating such a wonderful little world we have here, and thanks for bringing many people in my life.
Hugs,
Jewel

Thanks
This is a Blessing
I remember when I first discovered this wonderful place. I was in my office and was unable to make meetings on a regular basis. I found SR and it not only saved my recovery but my life. I am so grateful for the sisters and brothers that helped me through some situation in my life. Continue to grow and I hope to continue to grow with you.
Happy B-Day SR

Happy Birthday SR
When I found this site, I had no idea how important of a role it would play in my life. I had been sober just hangin on for about 4 1/2 years. I mean I was sober but didn't really feel good enough to talk about it or myself. But as I began to read the posts of others and sometimes post as well myself I felt myself grow and my hope with it. Just seeing others share their lives made me realize no I am not alone.
Thank You Jon, for SR and Thanks to everyone here for sharing a part of your lives.
God Bless to all of you.
