Constant chest pain tapering valium

This is a nitemare. I was at 25mgs of valium since January of 2021 now 1 year later I'm down to 7.5mg but this whole time if struggled with constant chest pain, hyperventilating, terrible derealization and depersonalization. Did u have 24 7 chest pain too?

Hi Karthas, I don't have personal experience with valium, but that sounds quite scary. Have you talked to your doctor about what's happening? I hope that you find some relief.

I don’t know how old you are, but I would say call 911 if you are in US. Coming from a previous cath lab nurse. Denial kills.

24/7 chest pain sounds like something you need to see a Dr about Karthas.

I should have mentioned that I've got to the er alot of times and had ekgs and chest x rays which they say is fine. Whenever the anxiety is really bad the chest pain ramps up. So I believe it is from muscles and a constant tense chest. Because if I take a really high dose of a benzo or drink alcohol it goes away.

Also I'm 35

Sounds like a bad circle of anxiety, use, anxiety, use, then the anxiety get worse, so does the use, the circle and pace gets faster and deeper and faster and deeper, so please don’t go down the drain like that.

Seek professional detox is what I would recommend

I had all of these symptoms during taper (Valium) and following. Very scary. Like you all tests returned negative.

Have you looked at the Ashton Manual for some guidance? Also benzo websites which might be of use?
