Slogans in Action
Ok folks - I'm back - Worked thru that crappy stuff yesterday - gave it over to my HP & I'm back to me today!! - Yeah, feels much better, the programs works if you work it.
Anyway, there was some good stuff at the convention, Blue Bayou is going to try to post some of our pictures (my computer at work doesn't have that option)keep an eye out for that, several groups from the Northern states sent Al-Anon books for the members affected by Hurricane's Rita & Katrina (that was a special blessing) and as love gifts, they had several handouts, bookmarks, etc. - wanted to share this one - I hadn't seen this before and I really liked it - Hope you enjoy and have a happy, recovery filled day -

Just for Today,
I will Let It Begin With Me
And Think, How Important Is It
Before I lose my Serenity
And if I Keep It Simple
When my mind wants to burst
I will remember Easy Does It
And place First Things First
And isn't it kind of funny
When I feel I've bottomed out
I find Hope and Courage when
I finally Let Go and Let God
But for The Grace of God
I can Keep an Open Mind
And learn to Live and Let Live
One Day At A Time

Hey, Im all for anything in Louisiana. It's my home state...Baton Rouge is where i got sober in 8-11-90. Ive been to some awesome AA Conventions there. Thanks for sharing. I love being connected to Louisiana thru my SR friends. : )

Hi Sharon M. - I've got a baby brother (6'4" Really Big Guy) in the Houston Area, that's in AA also - I know Houston's a big area - If you happen to meet a guy named, Dino - blonde hair, slightly warped sense of humor - run!! - That's my baby brother!!
