Angry Flunked my PT this AM

Which is not a good sign. I do very low impact resistance excercises for 15 minutes, keeping heart rate under 120 at all times. Stop, let heart rate go down below 100, check blood pressure, do another 15 minutes. Nothing to it. Have been increasing the time for the last year, since my last heart attack, and am now up to 6 sets of 15 minutes.

Well this morning the ol' pump decided to sputter. Heart rate shot up, blood pressure took a dive and I almost passed out. I was only on the third set. Not nice at all.

I get a few days off, then we start over again from the beginning. If I have any more "episodes" I get sent straight to the ER, from there to CCU and who knows what.

I've got an interview later today, another one tomorrow. The rehab dept has me set up for two more. I got a shot at getting a job even with my crummy health, ok, so a simple job sitting at a desk all day long, but at least it's a job. This is totally the wrong time for the pump to be acting up.

Then again, docs say I shoulda cashed in a year and a half ago, so instead of complaining I should be feeling grateful. Time for a third step prayer, call up some folks I know who are having difficulties, take some extra meds like I'm supposed to, and give my worn out bod some extra time off.

Luv you guys, thanx for being here when I'm feeling down, you're the best.

Mike

You've got the Phinny-prayer-brigade at your side. Take it easy for a bit, hey?

You guys rock, thanx for all the support.

Phinny, Denny, Minx, Cynay, thanx, and yes I am being good to myself and taking it easy.

Jazz, if you only knew the )*)(*& I have to eat on my diet. A regular pizza would kill me on the spot (I'm allergic to sugar) so there hasn't been one of those in my life for ages. I've been following docs orders and being a good patient for years. Not only out of my own will but also cuz my sponsor is a hard-case and would bust me to newcomer if I didn't. His wife has all but adopted me and she's even tougher *lol*

Patty and Debbie, am I stressing? Well..... it's kinda hard not to when you gotta bad pump, but thanx to the wonderful 12 step programs I'm doing surprisingly well in that area.

And while I'm trying to not stress over these interviews, I get a call for yet another one on Wednesday *lol*

Thanx for your prayers and love, you guys are the best.

Mike

* lmfao * I already have a few "angels" at my f2f al-anon meets. One day I was feeling poorly I was escorted to a car, driven to somebody's house, bundled up with pillows on a couch, covered with a blanket and told to take a nap. Or else. *lol*

I needed the nap, and slept several hours, although they could have taken me to _my_ place. *lmao*

Mike
p.s. one advantage of taking a day off is that I can play with smilies

Mike, I'm sorry this is happening and especially that it's happening right now when you have a job opportunity coming your way. You know you're a very special person to be able to cope with all of this stuff that you have to deal with every day. I hope you let us know how things progress and please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

I ran ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way over here from Naranon, to let Cynay know that I have backup reinforcements if needed to keep Mike behaving.

That's right...THREE codie buses full.

Mike, I'm saying my best "take care of my friend Mike" prayer, and know that you are in good Hands.

Healing Hugs
