hello
hi everybody
this is my first post so a little bit about myself
i am a divorced father with two teenage boys and am currently unemployed but am looking to start a career in education
i suppose that i started drinking at school-nothing too serious-carried on into my 20s and got married and the children were born-money was tight but still carried on drinking-eventually got divorced and drinking increased
which brings us to this day-it terrifies me that i cannot remember a day in living memory that i have not had a drink
hence my reason for joining this site

Welcome Dave and congratulations on reaching out. There will be others along shortly but know this. There is help. There is hope. You can beat this and live a happy, productive, sober life if you so choose and we will be more than happy to share the journey with you.
Hi Dave,
Welcome to our community. I've only joined it recently, but it's helped me in many ways. You'll find support, understanding, advice, sharing, and much more here. There's a lot going on all over this place, and I can hardly keep up. But somehow I always get a positive message out of my visits. These people are truly great and helpful to each other and all who reach out to them.
Hope you are doing well. Nice to "meet" you.
Jennifer
