Sometimes I just have to laugh.....

My neighbors had a sleeper / love seat in their truck that they were going to put in the dumpster. I inquired about it and they gave it to me. It was still in excellent condition. They were nice enough to bring it up the stairs and offered to bring my old one down to the dumpster.

My old love seat was a mess by the time my ex was through with it. No matter how I tried to clean it, it was stained with spilled vodka, blood, ciggie burns, and stunk of his sweat. I kept it covered with blankets to hide all the stains. Anyway, my neighbors and I moved the old love seat into the living room and were standing around talking before we brought it out.

My small dog (was my ex's) was jumping and playing on the couch and seemed to be acting a little strangely. I thought, hmmm....maybe he (the dog) still wants the couch! Maybe he smells my ex's scent on it and misses him. Then I started getting all sentimental and was thinking, well, maybe I could put the couch somewhere else in the apt., or, maybe just keep it for a few more days and let him get used to the idea that it would be leaving.

Well, just when I was about to decide to keep it for at least a little while for his sake, my dog let loose with the biggest POOP right in the middle of the couch and did a little dance around it. (He has NEVER had an accident of any kind on furniture before). I guess he told me in no uncertain terms exactly what he thought of the couch!!! Well, that decided it for me! The couch is now downstairs at the dumpster!

I think my dog learned the concept of, ummm....'letting go' better than I have!! LOL.

That is one smart pooch!! Gotta love animals for their instinctive ability to hone in on things! Sounds like my kinda dog - good boy! (Hope he got a biscuit "treat" for his stellar performance!!)

Yep - that'd be dogs for you!!

I remember while working as a groom I had the unfortunate experience of working for a very rich 11yr old - like something out a comedy sketch!! My dog didn't like her but reacted with avoidance which I supported. However after a major brat attack the girl got her wish to have my dog on her knee in my car. Patch was my team mate - I asked so regardless she did.

She jumped from the back seat onto the girl's knee, with her tail stuck under the girl's nose while Patch ignored her as best she could (looking out the front window). The girl whined that Path had her bum in her face and without any actual command Patch sat slowly down - leaving a long brown smear right down the girl's top!!

On my life it was deliberate and I swear as the girl screached and Patch calmly returned to the back seat the dog was laughing!!

be careful what you wish for!!
