I'm back and need you guys

Ouch. I've regressed badly since I was last here. Work has taken me on extended assignments to Jamaica, Australia and up and down the east coast. As you might guess, I drank and drank along the way. I am blessed to be still married and employed.
If I pretend to have it together right away, please slap me. Today is day one of sobriety.

Hey, you have come back and are trying again, that's a good thing. Yes you are lucky to still be married and employed, forgive yourself, don't beat yourself up but think why you did it, learn from it, move on. YOU CAN DO IT!!

Only on day 37 myself so sure you will get better advice from the more experienced! Hang in there xx

I see there's a new (to me) "Thanks" button, but I want to personally thank Kick, Sobriety and Wish for the welcome. It means a lot. I have to work in NC today, but I will check in when I get home tonight. It's hard to leave the site right now. I like this feeling. It is not the same as my "pink cloud" on the last go around. Bless you all.

Have yo been going to AA meetings? AA has saved my life and the lives of many others. There are meetings all over the place, so you can still go to AA when you travel.

It took a while to get back online. I had that long drive home in the rain, then I spent time with the family until all their little eyelids got heavy.
It's been a good day.
Smyle and Angelgirl, your greetings are very kind. Thank you. Rez, I think your suggestion is perfect. I posted a plan along those lines in the alcoholism forum.
I'll be brief in future posts, but today I want to thank each of you; Carol, 2Day, Mich and Kick. I know that you are on my side, and it feels great.
