OT- Men and women on marriage
I heard on the news today that men today want to
be married way more than women do. Didn't hear a
percentage or anything all I heard was the above
statement.
No sh** sherlock......
When you think of how many women are still out there
pulling more than 1/2 of the load in relationships, not
surprising to me men want to get in on that!!!!
LOL.....just laughed when I heard it.....

NO NO NO
You have it all wrong.
Men know that women have smaller feet so they can stand closer to the stove and cook dinner. Men know that the right tool for the right job is the way to do things *LOL*
Numbers that I heard were 65% of men think marriage is needed.
35% of females questioned say it is needed.
Reasons given... A family with two parents is an important part of life.

Okay Best, you totally cracked me up...I love it!
And sorry to disillusion you, Ilovebdg, but that was no joke, I had been wondering what it stood for for over a week now. But I am glad you got a chuckle, I did too when I learned the answer.

Oh yeah, I have been saying for years that I want a wife. MMMMhmmm. I go to work, my dinner is made, my laundry is done, house cleaned, errrands ran, bills paid. Wow, the bed might even be made! The possibilities are endless!

You know, my Dad said to me today "You look a bit harrassed, H, is everything OK?" I replied, "Well, I have been woken up by the cat every night this week so I haven't had enough sleep, I am going away in 2 weeks and I am way behind on my organising, I am away this weekend, we are short-staffed in the office next week so I can't do my shorter days as usual, I have college work to finish for Monday, I have stuff to get to my lawyer by yesterday and I have been fighting off a cold for 2 weeks. Harassed, me?" His reply "Yes, I know. I am away on holiday next week, then out of the office with work the week after, then on holiday for 2 weeks. I understand what you mean about not having time to do everything." I'm afraid, I was a tad churlish in my response, given that he doesn't have to factor in the washing, cleaning, ironing, cooking, shopping ON TOP of everything else, because he has a wife to do it*.
I miss having back-up sometimes.........Someone who will do this, if I do that. Share the load.
*I appreciate that's the way that they have things organised, but sometimes I just ........ grrrrrrrr.
p.s. not much recovery stuff shown in that post, I know. I could do a worthy post about changing roles of men and women in relationships, but I can't be arsed.

Actually, I think Western Society (as well as others) do bring up females to play a kind of martyr role. It is portrayed as "nurturing" and "giving", but I'm not so sure about that.
Anyway, I would hate to have a "wife" in the traditional sense, tbh. Probably a control thing. Although I have no problems with the idea of paying staff to do that stuff.
Sorry, patty. I think I left my sense of humour somewhere today. My mojo has left the building for now.
