Feeling better
On 5th day and still no sign of needing that drink, been to AA twice, got loads of numbers and been texting and talking. Going to AA tomorrow again - although haven't worked myself up to 'sharing' yet - not ready.
Still feel shame and guilt over what I did Friday, but getting better.
Today I took my friend's little boy to the seaside, we ate fresh doughnuts at the top of the big wheel amaong other things! Usually we lay around and watch films when I babysit him cos I have an hangover, and if he comes with his mum at evenings I'm drinking!! So that was great! Can't wait to do the same with my brother's kids - we used to and drink got in the way!
Know I can't get too comfortable and must keep watching for that old devil called drink!!

Way to go! Sounds like you're doing everything right in keeping up the vigilance (sounds like a Mad Eye Moody line!), but while you've got that bad fellow on the run enjoy yourself and your time with the kids - you're winning! Amazing where true joy is found, isn't it? Best wishes to you!
