OT-hot air balloon ride today

Just wanted to share a great experience! Today I went for my first hot air balloon ride. This was a gift I wanted to give myself for my new decade birthday--uplifting and leaving behind the past and coming back down to work on the future. My dad rode with me and I felt so much peace and calmness! It was a day I'll never forget! I'd go again in a heartbeat!

oh good for you! sounds scary to me but i'm glad you enjoyed and i like the metaphor about leaving behind the past and coming back down to work on the future.

I'm so glad you (and your dad) had such a nice time. Even though I am afraid of heights, I had the chance to ride in one once and I'd have to aree.......it is beautiful and so quiet!

I'm glad you were able to do something you have always wanted to, DID IT! and enjoed it!

Wow! That sounds wonderful. I've always wanted to try that myself. I think that was a perfect birthday present to yourself and I'm sure you will never forget it. What a way to mark this transitional period in your life.
