She hit bottom
M has not called in a long time and today I got a call but didn't check the caller ID 1st. M told me she is checking into rehab and her Mother was taking her. Her Mother actually showed up at her place while she was on the phone with me and I talked to her. I wasn't rattled in the least bit but was supportive of her decision. I told her she was doing the right thing and she could beat this if she really wanted and that her kids miss her terrible and need her in their lives. This will be her third time at a 28 day rehab. The first one she left after 3 days of detox, and was drinking within a week. The second time she did the whole 28 days but was drinking again within two weeks.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

That's great for her Jazz. I hope it works out this time and that she gives it a good, honest try. You do sound like you handled it in the best way possible. Hats off to you friend

Yo Jazz, I'm glad she's going into rehab. I'll be praying for her.
I think my 'puter is acting up cuz I can't see the most important part of your post. That is how are _you_ feeling? How's that codie heart of yours? I know mine would be a mess.

I think I'm past the resentment stage... I think.
We'll see how I feel next time I make a payment on the equity line of credit

Serenity pills *sniker*....
It's more like experience pills. She only called me to grease the skids for a possible make up, (I know that). She's out of money, her BF supported her and kept the liquor cabinet stocked.... but last night he almost killed her. She woke up in the hospital today with no recollection of what happened. The neighbors called the police and that's all she knows. When she gets out of rehab she'll be needing another man to lean on, sad but true. She has her entire life to rebuild ahead of her and she won’t have me to lean on that's for sure. She will have one tough road to hoe and I wish her luck b/c like I said, she'll need it.
There's just no tellin how far down a persons bottom can be. It's beyond the realm of what most folks can even conceive of.
