Hi there, I am new to this forum but I know we all were at one time. I am concerned about my son who is an alcoholic. My daughter very rarely drank but now has given custody of her children to their fathers and drinks and parties a lot. I know it is their life but I don't want them to follow my path and I want to break the cycle of addiction. Can anyone give me advise?

I agree with the other moms... do some reading of the posts here, check out the book lists. Melody Beatty's Co Dependent books are terrific. Most of us here will tell you that when you work on your own recovery, situations in your life will change and you can find peace and contentment. Living in recovery instead of in denial or fear is a great example for your kids!
