OT....Unbelievable....

As some of you know I work in real estate property management.
I hire and FIRE contractors all the time...
Today I fired a painting contractor for poor workmanship.
He understood and agreed with me on several points.
It is a small company just him and his step-son.
Well, his wife just came in my office and called me
every name imaginable and threatened me big time.
I told her to get out of my office and she refused soooooo
I called 911, the big mouth left while I was on the phone with them.
As she sped off I got her license plate number and make of car.
I also had her home address and phone as well as her son's.
The police arrived and took all the info from me and set out to
locate her. I intend to press charges and request a no
tresspassing on all three.
I can't believe it. Typically, I am not intimidated by anyone, but
this woman was a loud mouth friggin bruiser......
Now what in the world would you call someone like that?
Here husband is half her size and is probably scared sh**less
of her now that he has lost income.
OMG does this crap ever end.....
I need a new career......
YIKES.......

I know what you mean about getting healthier....
Once upon a time I would have joined right in with her
probably ending up on the floor in a brawl...lol
Now I just remain calm.....

Does this really happen in every career.....

I have had my car keyed by a disgruntled ex maintenance worker,
my life threatened numerous times and now this......
What happened to work ethic in this country and
realizing your actions contribute to the outcome....

Sarah, I don't think you were anything like her....
God I hope not.
I am a bit worried about retaliation to be honest.
Guess I will have to look over my shoulder a little more often now....
Egads.....

Well, retaliation is a valid concern. Although its always possible thats shes quacking like the alcoholics do.
I think when I used to spew my anger and disappointment at others it was more of a way for ME to feel better, like, boy I really showed them! They wont do THAT to me again!
Sure, I really showed em!
No Patty, I would never threaten violence, but I did yell alot

I'd just call her a bully. She thinks she can take control by intimidation. You did the right thing (probably made her more mad) by staying calm. I would have had a hard time with that myself.

By the way, what does OT mean on the subject? I've noticed that on lots of threads and never understood it.

OT means off topic... nothing to do with the disease.

Yep I work in the finance business and had a broker tell me exactally how he was going to hunt me down because I coud not do something he wanted.

I have had them yell, cuss, threaten you name it... especially since I work with them in large amounts of money.

OHHHHH and they REALLY hate when you calm and dont dance the dance.

Hey, nutbags have some good in this world too. You got a good laugh out of it anyway. I work a public job too and some days they all come out of the woodwork.

Oh yeah..there's sickness everywhere.

L resigned last week..the first words out of his boss' mouth were: "you f*cker"..and his boss hasn't talked to him in 2 days..

In my book that's abuse..

This guy is a technology director for a major Fortune 500 financial services company..
