Really BAD foot odor

My AH has VERY BAD foot odor, and the bottom of his feet are white in patches. He said tonight that his socks stuck to his feet when he took them off!!!! So, my question is would this maybe be something to do with his drinking, or just a bad case of athletes foot? Anyone with experience with this would be a help. Thanks!

He really should go to the doctor. It could be from lack of circulation, caused by the excessive drinking. It could also be a touch of frost bite if he was out on a cold cold night. But the white patches do sound like "dying skin".

Good luck getting him to go to the doctor. If it is dying skin, the next step will be gangrene.

JMHO

Love and hugs,

Does he wear the same shoes everyday? If so he needs to rotate everyday and give his shoes a chance to dry out. The white patches are probably dead skin, this sounds so gross but does it smell like yeast If so it just layers of dead skin on sweaty feet, a roll on formaldehyde and some creams from a podiatrist will clear it up but only if he rotates his shoes!

But tell him it is all drinking related if you think it might get him to stop!

Foot problems are very common among practising alcoholics - including seriously nasty odor

Alcoholics tend to have chronic yeast infections, which foot funguses are a symptom of. If you notice, As are usually sugar junkies too. Yeast conditions even cause sugar cravings and lots of other symptoms. Part of recovery is attention to physical health, diet, etc or recovery usually fails...again.
