Hello all, lately I have been going through some real hard core issues about my past and my present. I have recently have found out that when my father was drinking and using drugs, he had tried to have me and my mother taken out. I have no idea if this is true or not and I find myself being scared of asking him this. Since then he has been in recovery for the last 15 years and had never mentioned this to me. A part of me wants to hear his side of the story, but like I said, when I talk to him, he makes me feel like a helpless child again.

Any comments on how to approach this issue would be very grateful and appreciative.

I think you might want to discuss your feelings with a counselor.

I also think what a persin does now counts more than the past.

And as you say...this could all be misinformation.
Why is this gossip now being aired?
Innocent until proven guilty is how I would be thinking.

I agree.. if it's consistant behavior now...

People can get pretty lost...
especially using..

I would continue to dig around the issue... if it was me...
cause I like to be able to back out at any given sec... so I always try to give myself that option if I'm thinking Im really gonna regret something.. or I'm afraid...

Especially the stuff you cant' return.. ;o)

I'm a God wimp..
I run to God with everything..
and then just try to be open for the answer.
