I am glad to be here
I just happened upon this site...I am very grateful. I am, however, having trouble maneuvering through. I am 51 days clean and 14 days out of treatment. I didn't remember what dealing with emotions was like. It is rough. Can anyone give me tips on how to cope with the swarm of emotions? The paranioa and insecurity are great. Thanks.

Welcome to SR and we are glad that you are here. This is just tuff stuff to deal with I know that. One way that I try to cope with my emotions is to write them down on paper, go to a meeting, I use SR a lot for that also. If you need to talk to anyone you can usually use ***** or msn messenger to get them or email them I am willing to try and help if I can. I am sending good thoughts your way and congrats on you 51 days that is HUGE>>>>
Love Vic

Hi Missy,
It IS hard dealing with emotions after having avoided them while drinking/using. I avoided dealing with my feelings long before I even started drinking so I had a lot of work to do when I stopped drinking. You can get through it and you can deal with what you have to. There is lots of support here so keep posting and read others posts for inspiration.
