My first sober party

Well I made it through the first party that I have ever been to that I didn't drink or drug. I thought it would be hard but it wasn't. We got there kinda late so most people were already lit and they were actually getting on my nerves. Stumbling around and talking, you couldn't understand most of what they were saying. I can't believe I used to think that was fun!!
I love sobriety!

That's great! Hopefully it will be as easy for me as it was for you. I think I'm gonna give it a while before I storm in on any parties. But that's the key, go when everyone is already faded and see what you use to look like. Concrats

Good going Kathy!
Another good thing about it: you will feel great in the morning when everyone who got wasted at the party will have a horrible hangover.

Sobriety is awesome! You're doing great girl!!

Good for you!!! You gave yourself an early Christmas

I got sober in November (many 24's ago)...that first year, I made sure I had someone with me for support...someone who knew I wasn't drinking. Don't know how much sober time you have, but this would be my suggestion.

It is good not to be one of those thinking they are having fun. I was there less than an hour, people were getting rowdy and my drink (coke) was knocked out of my hand right in my lap. So I left and I bet they didn't even notice! And I didn't feel sick the next day.

Hey! Me too! Our company party. I grabbed a table far from the drink table, and chatted away with everyone around me all night. Good conversation, too! Granted, I ate more than I probably would have in the past (the hand to mouth thing), but what the heck...the food was good, and 'tis the season, right?! Yum
